Mods vs Dogs, huh?

Wow, that was completely unintentional. The pairings are all based on the original list of signees and their progression from their 'spot in line'....interesting coincedence!

Though I certainly wouldn't have used "Dogs", though I can see the shameless self promotion coming into play there...

Good luck to all of you.

Hey sky or chissler,
Maybe you can help me with this issue because of your experience here.
I'm having a serious comprehension issue about my debate topic. Should I pose my question here, or am I allowed to ask for clarification on my debate page?

”Given The Chasm Of Scientific Comprehension Between The Public And The Scientific Community Is So Vast, There Is No Such Thing As "Voluntary and Informed Consent" When Planning Human Trials/Experiments."

I understand why you might have a problem with that!

Translated I think what he means is "Since the general public doesnt understand science they cannot give their "informed consent" to animal testing".

Maybe you can apply for a change of topic

Animal testing?
I thought it was human testing.

Unless you're making fun of SDog saying I'm an animal.

Now I'm even more confused.

Oh sorry....human trial experiments.

You see...it even confused me.

So what you´re arguing is...uh...uh...that when humans take part in scientific testing with their "consent" its not really with their consent because they dont know enough about the science involved.

Hey...come to think of it...actually a good topic.

Sky has it correct...essentially you are arguing that the layman can`t give a valid informed consent due to a lack of similar educational background. The title was necessarily long, in my opinion...

Just reading some of the initial statements and I think we're in for a great showing.

I'm just all moved into my new home and the better half is at work for the night. A relaxing night at home that I'd like to dedicate a bit of it to reading some of the debate forum.

Time well spent.. would you agree?

Yes, I'm working on it, and we're all thrilled about your situation. But if you keep asking questions I'll have to take the extension before my opening post, and that's embarrassing. Especially since the "in laws" excuse has already been taken.

Actually, I don't know how to fix the align tags. I am guessing that the problem is the use of punctuation, such as the problem with the text size tags.

I don't, however, want to leave an edit signature without knowing for sure how to fix it.

Anyone here know?
