Y'all obviouly aren't from the South.

Go to a Wal-Mart on a weekend and you'll see just how "good" inbreeding can really be.

....shudders from repressed memories....

On the contrary.

C'mon down to South Georgia....whole different breed of folks down here. It isn't pretty.....it is scary. Some of these people's family trees haven't forked for generations.

Actually, I found South Georgia (north of tallahassee) to be a beautiful place with great people.

You just love to pick on me. :shk:

That's where I am from, and it is beautiful. A lot of people are still set in the ways of the antebellum South....polite, genteel, hospitable. But, there are some freaking strange people here. I'd never live anywhere else, but I avoid going to certain places.

It's the same everywhere though.

We've all got our freaks and scary people to avoid.

I wasn't picking on you Skep. I was just saying that you are being unnecessarily humble.

S. Georgia is ghostly beautiful, a snapshot into the old south. I just love the area.

As for the people, there are indeed some strange folks down there, but nothing that can't be found within an hour's drive south of DC.

I spent a week in Brunswick last month and found the area to be absolutely beautiful. My husband and I are planning to return for a vacation sometime.

They're great aren't they

An interesting sidenote is that they were filmed in a place called Hadfield (derbyshire back then, high peak now) and I lived just a few miles down the road.

The train in the first episode is on the manchester picadilly to hadfield line, which I used to travel to school on - with Hadfield being "The End of the Line"

A very underrated series, full of wonderfully dark comedy.

Glad you liked it

It somewhat validates my own essential wierdness

Completely lost in here I find myself suddenly.

Cricket? To feed reptiles...

Georgia? She was a bit too rude for my liking...

The South? Real people live down there along with Skeptic?

I hear ya.

I enjoy having all these new fighters around, but odds are the place will thin out a bit after the first round or two.
