I bring offerings of peace and happyness. Hey all in the fight club room, I have seen my name in here a few time already so I decided to join and become a fighter. Nice to meet all of you.

Welcome TML! Great to see ya here.

Looks like you've pasted the wrong text into the "Date Format" box in your MemCenter - here's something to try, try putting "M jS Y" (without the quotes) there, that's the date format I prefer.

An appropriate thing, for "Page 404" of FCP.

I'm sure others will have their drink orders soon; right now I'm fine with my coffee.

Welcome to FCP

As long as you also bring an apron and a bar rag. We've got so many new bartenders Fighters right now that we're running out

Don't worry about the French maid outfit, unless you're into that sort of thing.

And I'll just have coffee, if Ian's left any for me

Just a quick question - how many folks from Britain do the debates?

I ask because the 24 hour window thing has proven difficult for me. If a poster in the US contributes at 2pm or earlier their time, the deadline is 7pm UK time 24 hours later which - if you're working - makes getting the time to post extremely difficult, given that you may need to research a little and also get some sleep.

I can manage to do it, just about, and I was wondering how other folks cope with it?

Skyfloating who's not that far from you has a unique strategy called oddly enough a "skyfloater."

He posts within an hour max of his opponent's reply.

Though he doesn't succeed much with that strategy he does stick to it.

Its not always possible to do that though, which is why I raised it - especially if you have no idea when your opponent is going to post

I'm used to "US hours" of business on the 'net, but it does stretch things thin sometimes.

i am struggeling with it myself

first 2 debates my opponents and myself cared for each other so that none of us got into trouble - we had 9 hours time difference

this time it is a bit more difficult.
i am not sure if my opponent is aware of the difference.
so i try to take my time as good as i can.

yesterday i got my post ready at 5pm my time
if posting at that time my opponent would have posted to early for me to catch up properly with the closing. so i posted at midnight my time and found her post this morning.

now i got time until 4am my time.

does it make sense what i wrote?

The only option I can suggest Nef for "challenge matches" is to agree on a 36hr deadline with your opponent instead of the standard 24hrs.

The tournament is a little more rigid in nature.

I think I'll pop in for a beer -

I think I need it - getting paranoid again ...

This sounds complicated, but isn't really

I look at the time of my opponents post, then look at a recent post in BN, then calculate the time difference, and after checking the time on my watch, add 24 hours to it - it's usually right to within an hour or so.

It's a bit of a pain, but worth the effort, as it has the added bonus of bringing focus to the task at hand

I'll take one of those if you're near the fridge.

Or if you're not

I enjoyed that OL, but then I have a bit of bias regarding vegans and veggies.

Great debate
