Hi peacejet

I think I'm resting up for the next tournament, but if I start getting antsy I might be willing to debate. The graphic design obsession is pretty much keeping me occupied for now though

Okay, here's my catchup reply from earlier when I went off into the French Romantics and forgot what everyone else had said:

I think we could still get "Arguing for the Sake of Arguing" in either Latin or English in a smaller font as sort of a 'tagline' somewhere on all of them and that would be cool too.

Question on the Latin: are people pretty content with "Disputans gratia disputantis" which I'm pretty sure is correct, but I could drag out my old grammar book to see if there's some subjunctive construction I should use instead? We could do other languages too, since we're a pretty polyglot lot – what would it be in German?

"We don't understand you, either" is cute, assuming it's referring to the unwashed hordes who don't "get" us in the FCP/Debate forums and why we do what we do.

"Making Foes and Influencing People"
"Warriors of the Word"
"Champions of Rhetoric"
"Improving Vocabulary One Fight at a Time"
"Living One Fight at a Time"

I've been trying to think of one that incorporates the word "oubliette" but no luck yet.

I like "Making Foes and Influencing People" and it would be fantastic to get one with "oubliette"

About "Arguing for the sake of arguing" versus "Arguing for argument's sake" – maybe we should have a vote? I agree that the second rolls off the tongue better, but I like the meaning of the first better. And in Latin it doesn't make much difference: the second would be "Disputans gratia disputationis/disputationum" or "Disputans gratia argumenti/argumentorum"

Hmm... what do people think of a shark as an alternative mascot to the unicorn?

Really nice! Just one thing – there's a typo on the "Intimidation" mug: where it should read Fight Club Pub going down the middle, it reads Fight Club Pup

Unless you were intending that as SDog's very own design?

Yeah...the alley-oop at the end of the game was spectacular...

You're thinking about tennis.

The goalkeeper for the steelers was awesome, he kept a clean sheet.

No no...you're thinking about soccer.

The way the diver handled the racquet deserved the 9.7 rating from the judges...

You could not be more wrong, this isn't NASCAR.

The Steelers play with their shuttlecocks.

No, no, no. This isn't croquet.

When the first basemen went "All In"...that was when the Steelers had the advantage...

Brilliant Strategy...

Hey everybody….happy Monday.

I'll be getting all the new designs uploaded to our store on some different products at some point today, so hold tight for that.

Also…for the time being…let's not talk about other issues….sports issues....just for a bit.

And a warning to elevatedone....a fair warning....

.....watch it.

I actually got injured during the game last night.

When Troy intercepted that pass, I jumped off the couch and had my football in my hands, was smacking it, yelling "go down, just get tackled already", I didn't want him to fumble...

Once he crossed the goal line, I spike the ball and hurt my arm and shoulder...

I understand.

Thats why I don't "dish it out", when we lose, I don't want to hear it. So I don't even start with it.

I really thought we were going to have a Pennsylvania Super Bowl.

By the way....I need a much larger image to make a hoody if anyone is interested.

Check the guidelines for specs.

Also….if you're doing mugs…they really need to be on a white/transparent background, as CP will only allow white mugs. The black ones work, but tend to stand out a bit.

Excellent work everyone!

hey nyk thanks for your work too

so it would be better t leave a withe edge when we are doing black mugs?

Well it's really best not to do black mugs at all, because they will show the lines. CP only allows white mugs, so the designs should be made for a white background. (transparent)

And yeah, if S-Dog wants the design on the back of the shirt, I can do that no problem.

Whatever you guys want.
