It has stopped getting worse, but I don't think it has really started getting better yet.

The swelling hasn't so much "gone down" as it has redistributed.

Don't you start with me. You've put up things that were far worse.

Anyway, I was stepping down out of a trailer Saturday evening and there was a hole there that I didn't see because it was covered up with leaves. I lost my balance and my foot turned under me and I fell. Third degree sprain on top of old injuries. Not pretty, and the doc is concerned that it may not heal properly and I'll need surgery.

Heike, you have profound (and experienced) empathy from this corner. After that swelling goes down it will look worse (much more brusing) but will be less tender.

Do you have one of those 'boot-shoes'? If not I most sincerely recommend that you look into getting one. I did not and it seriously hampered my healing time. (12 mos.)

Not to be preachy, but I had a 3rd deg. sprain - which looked even worse than yours and ... you know what? I will u2u you.

Good god girl, that looks awful. Please stay off your feet, doctor's orders( ok chefs orders but I do cut things up, that counts right?).

I hope it doesn't require surgery and I hope that angel of a man you spoke about is doin' all the chores. No need to aggravate it even further. The cold weather can't be helping it any either.

Oh, yes, that's already started. I've already started some trouble in the "Adolf Hitler and Sisters removed from home" thread.

No, I don't really like, approve of, or agree with what Hitler did, but I do get annoyed with people who can't see past the demonized version to see anything else. Just a few years ago (supposedly) the majority of American citizens thought George W. Bush was worthy of being our president. What do they think of him now?

Someday in the future, will people look at the invasion of Iraq (and maybe 9/11) and say "how could they have voted for him?" much like people look back at Hitler's rise to power now and say "how could they have voted for him?"
