Fighters/Singers:

This is what it should sound like...

the URL for broken link: www.youtube.com...

...and this is the karaoke version:

For those who like a guide-track, click on the first link THEN IMMEDIATELY CLICK ON THE SECOND -- THEN ADJUST YOUTUBE VOLUME OF FIRST LINK -- Eartha herself -- to your comfort level, then...

Sing out loud, sing out proud, sing out strong!

PS - Heike, typo rife response is up.

Ding, your testing in the FCP idea was too fraught for me... I am back to embracing your other suggestion of reviving old threads.

PPS - All requests (karaoke/threads) welcome! Well... except for requests to stop singing. Those unfortuantely cannot be honored during the holiday season.

EDIT: I cannot figure out why the first link is not working double checked it.

My cowboy hat is off to you, Sky, you're a tough opponent. It's a good thing for both of us that I DO own a horse. There were several times during the debate I'd have lost my temper if not for applying my horsemanship skills and getting up and walking away from the computer until I'd cooled off.

PS. Now as a relative noob with only 2 completed debates under my belt, do I get a badge of courage or a purple heart or anything for going up against the # 5 ranked fighter??

You certainly got an unofficial badge-of-crazy-hubris from this quarter when you challenged him.

Meanwhile, I just got caught up on your and Sky's horse v. bike debate to find that I deployed, in my last response, similar tactics -- though clearly not as deft -- to his 3rd and 4th...

I'm off to ponder the meaning of that while I listen to Sdog take his turn at the mic...

*Cheers Sdog*

EDIT TO ADD: I am either (cover your ears for a sec Sdog) PMS'ing (you can uncover now), or that was tear-jerkingly appropriate and insightfully touching on all counts.

As I see that no one else is (wo)manning-up for the 'K-Machine' (bbcode for TM) I will peruse the selections, but I think it is safe to say we all hope that someone else selects something before I do...

I actually sensed the anger right through the screen. My apologies. Debates are not only meant to be won, but also to have fun.

a friend sent me a poem i would like to share:

One Day After Christmas

Author Unknown

It's one day after Christmas
I'm crabby and I'm broke.
I'm so full of ham and fruitcake
I think I'm gonna croak.

It's nice to see the relatives
I wonder when they'll leave.
They've been camping in my bathroom
since early Christmas Eve.

They're eating everything in sight
and sleeping in my bed.
I been sacked out in the basement
with my beagle, Fred.

The relatives have all gone out
and left their screaming brats.
The toilet bowl is all plugged up
and I can't find the cat.

It's Christmastime at my house,
the relatives are here.
They eat me out of house and home.
and drink up all my beer.

I love the decorations,
and the sleigh bells in the snow
But I wish those pesky relatives
would take their kids and go.

Those cookie crunchers fed the dog
a twenty pound rib roast.
His feet are sticking in the air
like skinny old fence posts.

Now they're in a free-for-all,
the girls against the boys.
They're fighting over boxes
'cause they're bored with all their toys

My mother-in-law is snoring
in my favorite TV chair.
Those kids are stringing lights on her
and tinseling her hair

I oughta wake her up
before the fireworks begin.
But I wanna see those blue sparks fly
when they plug her in.

Well, they totaled my car, the only car we have. I have to wait to hear what the payoff is going to be, but at best it will probably just barely cover what I owe on the car. So now I have to find a way to buy a new car on our extremely limited income.

Oh well....I guess it could be worse...........somehow.
