Gah!! I thought the furries hung out in DATS (except for our resident mascot SDog).

They do, but on occasion, they find themselves here
Isn't that right Maria?

Absolutely. In fact, they make themselves quite comfy on the patio.

They've even been allowed pool table privileges since they promised to stop using the pool sticks as chew sticks.

Orange, Carrot, Lucid, welcome to FCP!

* tries a cookie *

My drink of the night is Dark & Stormies - enough for everyone!

Personally, I'm making mine with Myers Dark Rum and Hanson's Ginger Ale (sugar, not corn syrup, ya know)...

Hmm, I get home from work and there's five pages of FCP to catch up on. Y'all have been busy.

Edit to credit: Thanks, schrodinger's dog, for informing me of this drink.

So, moral or health or both .. your call .. ?

I think I have been called to defend the furries

Perhaps the moral justifications for choosing vegetarian diet as it pertains to both human and animal rights? Or would you like to exclude animal rights from the topic altogether, and keep it orientated to the diet itself? I think our moral perspective could be narrowed down even further

OMG! Lucid! You finally made in through the threshold. Welcome! I still feel sympathy for your future opponents. You'll do great.

All right I need to say something.
Welcome to all the new fighter peeps to the debate forum and to the FCP.
No one is more excited than I at the growing popularity of the forum.

But FCP is NOT, I repeat NOT DATS.

Please I beg you, no more fluffies or furries.
This is a semi-dignified establishment.

It already smells in here.
Oh, wait that could be me.
But still...

It didn't take long for you to get settled, did it?

I look forward to seeing what you can do but first things first...

I'll take a Rum and Coke, Barkeep...

Woot! I have Ashley's sympathy! I feel an avatar request coming on ...

Lucid, believe it or not I am strongly pro animal rights and manage to reconcile that with being an omnivore. I'd be disappointed if you didn't bring that into the discussion.

So, our topic can cover the health-related and moral aspects of vegetarianism. You're pro and I'm con. Shall we try to hammer it out ourselves or leave it to our capable facilitators (Semperfortis and Memory Shock) to write the actual topic for us?

How about:

A vegetarian is a better person.
Vegetarians: Happier and Healthier.
Vegetarians are green, good, and gesund. (Gesund being the German word for healthy, I couldn't think of an English 'g' word for healthy.

Vegetarianism: A positive advancement for humanity.

Dear, No body said it was
Maria was simply telling me you guys keep some herring around here for the penguins, and some nuts for the squirrels... Trust me, if it was up to me, they would stay in their habitats.

Memory
Rum & Coke you said?

You look great. But who is that in your avatar? Obviously someone very famous and I look silly for asking but you said the name in U2U but I still don't know who that is. lol

Italian actor named Marcello Mastoianni.

Ashley: Christmas lights would be lovely, as long as they aren't on my .. err its .. head.
I don't think my dragon would look quite right in a Santa hat somehow. You could change the ATS logo out for one in Christmasy colors too if you're bored. Here's a link to the image before my embellishments:

SchroDog: Nice hat. No matter what your avatar is now, I always imagine you as the first one I saw you wearing. An old Gandhi type dude who lives ascetically and radiates spiritual love and peace.

Darn, I choked on my coffee while writing that.

Yep, that's him. Looks like a really sweet old guy. What'd he ever do to deserve being used by you for an avatar?
