Welcome back ding. Here let me wipe the bench for you.

The good looking and intelligent judges keep an eccentric schedule.
Such is the price of genius and great looking hair.

Thanks SDog

Hey MODS, whose turn is it to set up challenge matches? In a week or so I think Lucid Lunacy and I would like to debate gnosticism in the early christian community. He needs fighter status first, and I need time to finish recuperating from the boobie debate

Certainly depends on the individual, however, if the board traffic was any indication this weekend, I would guess probably not...

Either Semper or myself would be fine...

Either or. If one of us can't or won't, we'll certainly give each other a heads up. And if The Vagabond wants to start...

Real Life? What is this strange thing you speak of?

I've heard rumours of this mythical beast.

Not that I would want our most excellent, generous, brilliant, and well-styled judges to spend their weekends reading debates. On the contrary, I am immensely appreciative for the time they devote to this task and would never dream of rushing them in any way

*thumb twiddling*

As for Fighters having "real lives", I think it's a hoax and deserves [HOAX] tags. Can I start a thread in the BB&Q about it?

Yeah, I can be contacted for challenge matches too.
Until recently I've been redirecting requests but I guess I really should be here while the forum is apparently in its golden age. Might regret it some day if I wasn't.

45-15, FSU? Really? That's the best you can do? I gut it up like I'm a freshmen again and stand out in pouring rain and can't even see the midfield logo at kickoff, and you proceed to screw up this badly?

I'd like to try out one of them speed-debates. If anyone is up for that, let me know.

Since Im on a loosing-streak, you have a good chance of also winning.

Some topics to consider (pro or con, I dont care):

Humans are a race of degenerates

ATS has become too mainstream

We will be able to stop aging in the near future

Online-Friendships are real

I, for one, would love to see Sdog and Sky speed-bate. (star if you agree and let's try to conjure-up a command performance).

Sky, how could a speed debate possibly be a challenge for you? It happens to be your modus operandi.

Just saw the speed debate between Maria and S-Dog. Yikes. Just four hours. That looks intimidating. Think fast, type fast, refute fast, etc. Scary!

Kudos to the two of you. I would never have the guts to get everything together in four hours!

Speaking of speed debates...

The results are in. Congratsulations to both Fighters...

Are speed debates a new thing? I've never seen them before. If so, who's idea was it? Looks like a pretty intense format. I'd be scared to go to sleep in the fear my opponent would post and I wouldn't get back online in time to get everything done. lol

Good job again, you two.

Speed debates are a new thing in practice but the idea has been around for awhile, though I do believe that the incarnation I recall was something like 1-2 hours per post.

The Speed Debate in this format was Maria's idea and Schro Dog's acceptance of the terms.

Overall, I kind of like the process though I would be hard pressed to do anything like it for awhile...I find that even 24 hours isn't enough some days...

You're looking for an easy win aren't you.

I don't think a speed debate would be my... er... speed. lol It would seem you'd have to spend all day sitting there waiting for your opponent to post and then get to work ASAP on it. Then repeat.

I'd be freaking out. My nerves weren't made for short deadlines.

I bet you'd do great, though.

Thanks, I think.

And a big thank you to Maria for a great debate, again.

SDog is back batting .500.
