Isn't that the prettiest little bottle of liquid gold you've ever set eyes on?

* sigh *

Thanks, TWISI!

Wow, we have some really great debates going right now (and recently finished).

Good fighting, dingbat and TWISI, Sdog and Maria, Oscitate and M1ck, and the junkie welfare debate is shaping up to be quite interesting (and intense) also.

Ladies and Gentlemen of the FCP, it's time for ...

Random Thoughts: Midnight on a Weekday and a Bottle of Wine Later

Tonight's Mental Menaderings:

"Hanging around here makes me want to smoke... all the time"

This is sadly a true statement, and a sadder (or happier, depending on one's POV) statement is that I am incapable of not doing what I WANT. To point, I have for the first time in my life come close to smoking a pack a day (which is waaay beyond the norm)...

Why? What is it about this environment that is so condusive to nicotine dissipation?

And don't say Sdog's seductive Mastrianni pic... (or the bottle of wine) No, it runs deeper than that... I'm sure of it...

This is sooooo true.

I haven't had a cigarette in over five years, but the desire to smoke has been growing in me since I joined Fight Club

I agree, there's something about coffee, cigarettes, and a good argument... I'll often find myself chain smoking when composing a reply.

Even ATS contributes - I think there's an 'instant gratification' thing; light a cig and click 'recent posts'.

Just want to say:

The Vagabond's first post was stout. MS is in for a battle, to say the least.

Good job on the debate M1ck, it was great (I have yet to post my closing statement, but i will soon). I just wanted to say that if someone mentions the word pesticides to me again, I'm going to rip both my legs off and plant myself headfirst into the nearest contaminated soil.

Yeah, man. I'm thinking about drinking some pesticide since I apparently think it is so great. I'll let you know how that goes.

Look forward to your conclusion. Should be a close one.

Hi Irish,
First of all I'd like to welcome you to the FCP and congratulate you on concluding your first debate.

Now I'm going to say this the nicest way I can think of:

Less talkie more bartendie!

All newbie fighter have to prove their serving and janitorial skills for full acceptance and integration.

As you can see, the club is a bit of a mess today, Shock is passed out in the corner, and there is some blood on the floor. That's from our ears, it is quite common for us to get ear-bleeds when Ian starts soliloquies.

In any case here's a mop, the trick is cleaning under Shock without waking him up.

Oh, and I'll have a bloody mary, no horseradish, two celery sticks, lime not lemon.

I won't wake him up. Marie slipped him a roofie last night - he'll be out for a while.

And, correct me if I am wrong, but being this is the Fight Club Pub, I thought the blood was part of the style here. What kind of fight club is it if there's not a little blood on the floor?

Here's your Bloody Mary though. I opted for one giant cellary stick instead of two.

Good job M1ck! You've done this before, haven't you?

Looks like you'll fit in better than I do. (I got fired from bartending the first night).

Great debate.

Osci, does anyone near you have a video camera? I want to have them standing by when I call you up and say PESTICIDES just to watch the ensuing carnage!

PS. Anybody wanna buy some organic free-range eggs for $3.00 a dozen???

Irish, you're gonna fit in just fine here.

Plus your presence ought to keep the Welsh away.
