What, with the disruption of the obeisance!

Oh, I am sure you will know what to do when the moment arrives, oh thine wit bourne of eye poking!!

for a great tourney and, particularly, for a well-chosen final topic, MemoryShock: it amazes me what we're able to squeeze into these approx 13.5K-word debates! The concept-to-word ratio here is probably higher than most any other place on ATS, or even in the public media, for that matter.

Thank you, Ian.

And indeed, I think we have a nice corner of the internet that seems to shine a light to all letting them know that any given topic is inclusive of seemingly unrelated ideas and thoughts.

Now, if only we can get Skeptic to measure it and use it as a selling point...

Twisi, if it's 'especially exciting' for you, remember it's my first tournament, too, so I'm all a-pins 'n needles here, sittin' on the "waiting bench"

No way! I had no idea this was your first tournament. You should be a paragon of pride, win or lose, that's pretty impressive.

To further ramp up your excitement, please know that I'm already working on various tributes of obeisance; the winner can come to expect things like: "All hail the Great Intellectual Giant, Ian (or Sky)!" at their every appearance, for two whole weeks...

Mr Squeers's appearance was not prepossessing. He had but one eye, and the popular prejudice runs in favour of two.

You know what? That is so impressive I'm going to extend some one-time only-if-you're-not-the-winner obeisance to you:

"Let us all bask in the reflected glory of SDog and revel in our great fortune that He is amongst us."

"Oh, he ain't all THAT smart. He still wags his tail every time he gets a good hand."

A few more posts like that, and we'll have to enlarge the doggy door just to get his head through.

Oh guuuuuuuuuys, stop it, I'm blushing.

You know how I hate being the center of attention.
It's just not me.

200K? That is impressive. Looking at the records, few others have made it to the first-stage initiation/modification procedure that quickly. The team usually arrives around 2am-3am; wear clean underwear. You may also want to buy some icy-hot, for the morrow.

Oh, "just kidding", of course, and again, congratulations.

I think I may be ready to entertain the idea of another debate in about a week or so...

I would be inclined for a random topic...

Yeah? What's so IMPRESSIVE about being the barkiest dog on the internet?

He's been here 153 days and his post count is 3628. That's almost 24 posts a day .. one an hour .. no wonder he has so many points. He must not DO anything except hang out on ATS!!

I've been here less time and I have a much higher applause-to-post ratio than he does.

Quality over Quantity!!

Ian and me are exchanging hilarious revelations about our debate in U2U, wishing we could post them here...

We´ll do so after the debate is judged...for the entertainment of those who are asking about "debate guidance".

Btw...there is also a lot to learn by reading up on old debates and champs...semperfortis...intrepid...the vagabond...memory shock...some of those debates are legend.

You're supposed to do that OUTSIDE SDog!

In other words, all the
faces ain't foolin' me.

Like me, you take aggravation and being "picked on" far better than you take genuine praise or compliments.

You're on my Friend list and I only pick on people I like.

Now, get your tail out from between your legs and come chase this stick!

yeah, congratulations for your 200 000 ATS points. I also see you are climbing in the ranking of members-with-the-most-posts (a ranking which has been led by intrepid since years)

Oh, how sharper than a serpent's tooth is the tongue of a thankless, uh...serpent.

Congrats, S-dog!
