Hey everyone, sorry but I have to make a sad announcement.

Do to a family emergency I'll be unable to continue my debate with Heike. This is hard to say because I hate abandoning something I've started.

Unfortunately I just won't have the time or attention span to put my best effort in right now.

I hope we can continue this at a later time, or get going on a different topic Heike.

Again, I'm sorry.

I'll keep you guys updated. (I don't want to say much until I know more)

I'm sorry to hear about your emergency, Nyk. I was worried myself because we had some bad storms through last evening/night. Our Dish and internet were down the whole time and our electricity was out part of the night. I kept thinking "I just know he's made his first post by now and I can't read it!!!"

Anyway, putting the debate on hold until you're ready is fine with me if it's acceptable to Semper & Shock. I had a similar issue with my first debate (was out of town for 4 days) and Oscitate was very gracious about agreeing to a suspension until I got back.

Best wishes, you'll be in my thoughts hoping for the best possible outcome.

Thanks, Mem. I am trying to catch up on my debate reading, it looks like you guys have been throwing down -- Ian and Sky too.

Also, I am thinking I could jump back in the ring next week if there are any takers, Ding or FSBA? (Heike/Osci your debuts puts you well out of my weight class.. for the moment...).

I need to get properly put through my paces a couple of times and think I can learn more from either you at this point as you are both very well versed in the art of debate and I could get 'schooled' w/o getting totally shamed (I live in hope) .

If anyone is up for it, U2U me and let's figure out a topic. I have a date caveat for Thursday and don't want to use the extension for it. Otherwise I'm ready to rumble.

I think you're underselling yourself, TWISI – you did a great job on the Codex debate. You definitely outclass me.

All the same, I might be willing to be your next victim if we can come up with a topic that interests me. Maybe something with actual data instead of YouTube videos
