i know the thread has probably progressed from my point but its late and i dont care.

the best way ever i found to get myself out of being paralyzed was to rock my self backwards and forwards until i rolled out of my bed as i hit the floor my body woke up like lightning bolt.

i used to get this about 3-4 nights / mornings a week now this was just genral sleep stuff nothing amazing going on here. i tried stuff like concentrating really hard on certain parts of my body to get movement. it never seemed to work but i generally managed sum how to get a rocking motion i would rock back and forth 9 may have been ding this may have been building my self up it hrd to precieve when paralyzed) then when i fell over or out of bed it woke me up in seconds...

hopefully this might work / help u

Do they ever form shape's or infact move from one place to another.

For example you go to bed wake up and realise they have moved ?

I do have freckles but I don't believe they have moved. I have a fair amount on my arms so I don't really pay attention to them. Even if they were to change position I would not have noticed anyway.

A few months ago i was in my bedroom. It was late at night probably around 2
o-2:30 am.I was at my computer (surfing the net) anyways
suddenly for a split second the room illuminated as if someone had taken a photograph of me with a flash. The weird thing about the whole thing was that they curtain and shades wered tighly closed. I just wamted to know if anyone has had anything similar happend to them. All my life weird un-explain has happend to me. A quick short story when i was about 14-15 years old i was in my room watching t.v when suddenly a basketball size "orb"of light flew slowly across the room and went thru the wall.I ran out to see if it was in the room next to mines but it wasn't.

To clarify, I suspect I heard a Magpie (a native bird to Australia) outside the window during that morning and not from inside my room. It was at the very time I heard the bird that I became unparalysed and so I can only assume it was the bird that startled the visitors and not the visitors communicating with each other.

Are these symptoms your experiencing before the entities begin procedure?

During most of the visitations I am unable to hear anything or see anything. The procedures start and finish without a sound made.

No, I don't believe in god. I am an atheist and because of this I try to took at these visitations with a rational mind. Although to the contrary how rational am I really if I’m to explain these experiences as alien visitations? It would seem the claims of abductions appear to be similar to what I have been experiencing and so can you really blame me?

That does not explain it. With my episode and it sounds like the op had the same thing happen is that it feels like someone is sitting on your chest and you can not breath or move your arms like you have three people trying to hold you down while one sits on your chest. It is terrifying and not a dream.

Actually if you think about it, it does explain it. First off, it’s normal to have some decrease in O2 saturation when you sleep, so you are already going to be feeling somewhat out of breath to begin with. Then you must consider that several factors also occur in REM sleep, which can further decrease not only your breathing, but can also make you feel pressure. Normal REM Atonia causes paralysis in muscle tissue, which if you are prone to sleep apnea can cause your airway to become occluded. That is why when we test for Sleep apnea; we are most interested in seeing how a person is when they are in supine REM stage sleep. The reason being that there is no muscle tone to keep the tissue from occluding the airway, and gravity is pulling straight down on that tissue. This is the same as when you learn CPR. What was always the first thing that you were told to check? ABC’s, Right? A= Airway, make sure its not occluded. The reason being is that an unconscious person is going to be in a similar state.

The second factor is the weight of the tissue that is on your torso to begin with. Whether you realize it or not, your body weighs quite a bit, and the majority of its mass is in the torso. When you lose the tone of the muscles that help to move that tissue, while breathing, and place that tissue in a way that it is essentially dead weight on top of your lungs, your going to feel this pressure and suffocation. It would be like trying to breath while laying flat on your back with 20 or so pounds of weight sitting on your chest, while awake

I couldn`t agree more. They will split.

I know you are an atheist Andre but just remember this; you never know when these experiences will start to ruin your life, real darkness needs all light to be off.

I suffered from SP for a while a few years back. The symptoms were exactly as the OP described.....and as most sufferers describe. I would have a sensation of somebody standing in the door watching me or sitting on the bed next to me. Often I would hear two people talking about me just outside the door - couldn't understand what they were saying, just knew it was about me. First time it happened I was scared to death because I thought it was a seizure or something! I did some research and found there were many people going through exactly the same thing. It's easy to see why people who go through this can come to the conclusion they're being visited by aliens.

I'm very open minded and can actually accept that, yes, maybe people with SP really are being visited. But if I'm honest with myself I'd say I'm 99.9% sure that all the symptoms can be explained in medical/psychological terms, even if we don't fully understand the condition yet or why so many sufferers experience this strikingly similar sensation of being visited.

Anyway, I haven't had an episode for years now. Oh, and I never actually got it during the night either - only when I would take a nap in the afternoon on my day off or the weekend

I've had SP a few times,

can be quite frightening to find you can't move and struggle to breath...

I have terrifying hallucinations when i get it sometimes, like loud sounds and strange electrical feelings going trhough me. Also i've heard distant 'alien' voices, as though from far away.

I've seen figures in my room, and also one time something that seemed to me was dark and feeding off my fear and growing, as i say quite frightening..

Best way to beat the paralysis is to try and wiggle a finger or toe, usually works for me.

They are demons bro

Been there done that

You want to make them leave instantly??

Say "In the name of Jesus Christ, leave me"

It might be hard to get the words out at first but it never fails

They will leave very quickly.

I have had a 5 week ordeal with these things, and I to thought I had sleep apnea at first..

Even if you do have sleep apnea per say, that out of body dimension is where demons reside.. So if you do have apnea I recommend the doctor, you don't want to be chillen in that dimension for long

After I figured out they were demons I called my best friend and told him what had happened.. 2 nights later, my friends girlfriend was strangled by an invisible force with "cold hands", and she was not asleep, she was awake with the light on reaching for her water on the nightstand..

She started praying and it left..

My friend told her nothing about what had happened to me. 2 days after his girlfriend was strangled, these things started pounding on his closet doors at night.

Thats just a small part of the story, im letting you know because its not likely we all have "sleep apnea"

So watch yourself..

You can't really see it or catch it, it is like sleep paralysis, but it is completely mental and/or a spiritual demon of sorts. I suppose you might be able to capture it using different camera filters perhaps. But thats what ATS is for. So yeah, give it a try, and then say go away demon! Man that is fun to say.

This happened to my right arm, a numbing like sensation and I couldn't move it, all of a sudden it smacked into my chest. It went away eventually, oddly enough I find 11:11 and it's variants all over the place

If you really want to see whats on you just get a mirror! My other friend saw a black shadow jump on him and it happend

Andre, for the love of Pete, quit monkeying around on here and see a specialist!

There are a lot of superstitious people in this thread shouting "DEMON!" and "ALIEN!" and "MYSTERIOUS SHADOW PEOPLE!"

Do you notice that they all experienced the exact same thing, but they all believe the cause to be a different supernatural force? That's because the physical and emotional sensations were the same for all of them, but they have different beliefs and therefor their brains came up with different "stories" which fit those beliefs and explain the sensations.

Have you noticed that concentrating on doing something real, or something real happening, always ends the episode? Sure, saying "Jesus help me!" out loud will end the episode. Saying "I REALLY LOVE PIE!" out loud will do the same thing.

So, you can listen to the superstitious people who all have a different story to explain the exact same thing, but no facts, research, training, or scientific studies to back up what they say.

Or, you can listen to the people who are explaining *exactly* the situation that you and those other people are experiencing, and just go see a doctor. Isn't it worth trying, if you can make it stop?

These knowledgeable people have already explained everything the superstitious people have described, from the mysterious figures to the feeling of weight being put on your chest, and even the apparent onset of the attacks when a person is "wide awake and not even close to sleeping."

The only thing you have to do is make a decision:

Do you want to live in constant fear of something you don't understand, or do you want to see a doctor, diagnose, and possibly eliminate the problem from your life?

They say different things because they believe it to be so, demons and aliens may very well be the same thing. we have evil human spirits so why are aliens without sin? I experienced this and I didn't think of anything. I sat up and tried moving my arm, it would not move and it made a sudden jerking movement and smacked my chest. I sense a sort of frustration in your choice of words.

What would a doctor do? write on a paper that your insane? what has society ever done for someone who was "outside the box"?

i'm not sure, but i recently heard in a video somewhere that when that happens...your mind or consciosness is in the 4th dimension and your body is stuck in the 3rd dimension and those beings are in the 4th dimension...there was something else about feeling pressure on your chest.

do you feel that? if you dont like them..tell them that you have free will and do not want to see them or something like that..sorry i forgot the details..if i find them i'll let you know.

take care bro

Andre, in my opinion it sounds as if you are entering into the astral realm through out of body... astral projecting... and we all do this everytime we sleep. However, for some reason, it sounds as if you have astral entities messing with you. They are everywhere around all of us also all the time. There are all kinds of personalities there, just as we are here in this reality. Many do try to influence us. I learned about this from patients as I was working as a health care worker for several years.

If I were you... here is what I would do... seriously... if I were in your shoes...

Remember some entities feed off fear, so, work through any fear and get rid of it. Atheist or not... you do have guides to help you... ask the higher spirits for assistance. Ask for an angel! I wonder what has attracted these sorts to you? Are you going through a particulary stressful time? Are you going through a questioning time? There are very high entities surrounding us everywhere... focus on them. And as far as "fighting" as some have suggested... the fighting is all done in what we know as "will"... not physical... simply Willpower. In other words... tell them, "Leave."

That is what I would do if I were you.

To the anonymous poster who wrote of the orb about the size of a basketball that soared through the room........ yes!... I had that happen once also.... years ago. It was two orbs of that size, side by side, just below the very high ceiling and my friend and I both saw them soar out of the room. I have no explanation to them. I think yours might be the first time I've heard anyone mention seeing an orb of that same size. Neat!

It's simple. Set up a camera in your room and set it to SLP or LP recording mode. If you have a firewire capability on your camera and your computer you can also set the camera to record to your hard drive with some software you install on your computer.

Keep trying to record night after night until you experience this. Sooner or later it will be captured on camera and you will be able to help make sense of all this. In the meantime go check out a sleep specialist like the other posters suggested.

I really feel compelled to ask you again what have you done recently that would open the door?

These events haven’t taken place in the last week but when I was a young child. These experiences have differed over time, by the age of 9 I had gone through similar incidents that involved what felt like tremendous pressure being applied to my back and pain around my waist. This continued every second night and lasted for at least 2-3 months. By shaking my head hard or wriggling my self I would become free from the paralysing affect.

At age 12 it started again however, instead of feeling pressure applied to my back I could only feel pain on the sides of my waist. At this time I felt as if I was being jabbed with something like a needle. I would still shake my head and switch the side light on where there would be no one. Again this lasted at least 2-3 months.

It began once again at 16 and has continued to this very day

Are there any relatives at all that have had similar experiences?

Some time ago I told my mother about my nightly ordeals, where by she told me how she once had an experienced as a young child in what she believed to be an alien abduction

I do not believe our experiences are related but who knows...

I’d like to believe it’s all just something mentally wrong with me so then I can just get some prescribed medication and it will all go away but the problem is I’m as aware when it happens as I am now.

If you have anybody in the room physically present, that can observe you... Will the events take place?

No, it only happens when I’m alone (strangely enough)
My main reason I believe there’s not something mentally wrong with me is because a few months back while I was paralysed in the morning (not just at nights) I heard a bird chirp and straight away I was unparalysed and back to my normal self. It seems to me what ever was paralysing me was startled by the bird and somehow vanished.

i'd also like to state out if this is affecting your judgement its better to keep your posts away from serious threads

peace out, hope you get better soon
