I used some ridiculous language (on purpose). I don't see anything wrong with using strange grammar if you're intentionally being absurd. It was a semi-Joycean emulation, as the title suggests.

I admit when I logged in and saw that I had won, I was shocked.

Not what I was expecting at all. I think everyone did an awesome job in the contest.
