Kind of like how blackwater contractors were in New Orleans after Katrina even before FEMA.
For the government the choice is simple. Blackwater doesn't have to worry about limitations, repurcusions, or consequences. Not from the UCMJ or
anywhere else. They can get away with anything.
Not one security contractor has ever gone to court because of wrong-doing. Look at the rate the military folks are getting thrown out and court
martialed. Military personnel are generally more careful due to the UCMJ, yet they are still getting court-martialed at a staggering rate. Could you
imagine the firestorm if suddenly blackwater was held to the same standards our military is?
These guys make pay several orders of magnitude over what our military members make yet they are not held to any standards whatsoever than those they
dictate for themselves.
