Above Politics Show 18

Martin and Justin interview the official press officer for the British National Party (BNP). ATS Member Xpert11 wins this week's trivia challenge. Darby Simon, the BNP spokesperson, talks about the founding of his political party in 1992. He discusses the difficulties of running a political organization in an environment where there are MANY competing parties. Is the cause of "nationalism" dead? Or, has it just gone out of style? Tune in for the answers to these questions, and much more!

On Free Speech

This is my take on the matter . Free Speech just like any other right it has to responsible managed . This is something that many members seem to fail to grasp this concept . Take for example a recent topic concerning the US government wanting to censor You Tube . It never occurred to anyone that things should have never gotten to that point and that You Tube should not have permitted the enemy to host extremist videos on there website . There are plenty of other websites run by there fellow kind where the enemy can upload videos to .

Even thou it is difficult to prove I am glad that there is the legal option of suing(SP?) for Slander is available to people . Germany is sort of an interesting side note of what I am talking about I know that there are laws dealing with people expressing about that country Nazi past . Maybe a European(SP?) member could contribute something on that matter.

Constitution law bans Nazi symbols and any party that openly promotes National Socialism. Italy is the same, but a bit different. Election laws prevents a party from getting a majority in order to prevent another Mussolini.

.....even though Italy has elected a fascist mayor in Rome and the nation is heading towards the far right (again).

The interview is really good.

He is a very smart guy. Who cares if he is in the BNP, someone elect him to Parliament!

I'm wondering at the choice of the BNP to interview. Of course every party is entitled to have their say but thankfully that doesn't stretch that often to this part of the UK (Northern Ireland).

I've enjoyed the ATS podcasts up until now. This one has definitely been a big thumbs down.

Who are you interviewing next? A Klan member?

Freedom of speech.

To behonest, nothing was offensive about the interview. Its not like he was reading out Mein Kampf

The KKK rep hasn't returned my call. Not yet, anyway.

"Above Politics" is our mandate. It means bringing you people and points of view that you won't see or hear in the mainstream media. The ATS credo is to deny ignorance. We're doing our best to empower you with knowledge.

These interviews will allow YOU to decide for youself what is offensive, and what isn't. It's true that stuff like this does translate in to high ratings for The AP Show, but...we are here to serve a larger purpose.

Interviews like this one shed light on subjects that would otherwise go unreported by the mainstream media. Martin and I can say anything we like about people or political parties. It's our opinion, and you can take it or leave it. When we let those people and parties speak for themselves, YOU become the judge and jury. YOU decide for youself how and why they are wrong.

You'll notice that Martin and I did ask the hard questions. You'll also notice that Simon Darby answered them in a relaxed and honest way. We got him to say what he really thinks. That's our responsibility, and we fulfilled it.

Now, the ball is in your court. What're you going to do with what you now know? Do you have the guts to say what you don't like, and why? If the answer is "yes," I'll know that this show was a success.

You can't support or defend against what you don't know about.

Wanna have some fun? Star, flag, and Dig the heck out of this thing!

Justin, with all due respect, he wasn't asked a single tricky question and that is why he was able to have a relaxed interview.

Now of course I don't know Simon Darby personally but I do know about his party and the thought of a BNP member going to a black church to hear the sermon was hilarious.

As you can tell and Simon as well if he gets to read this thread, I doubt if he will put me down as a prospective vote.

I've been involved in media "stuff" for about four years now. It's been my experience that you can ambush the person you're interviewing just one time. You'll never get a second chance, because you did ambush them.

We didn't have to trick Mr. Darby in to saying anything contraversial. He did it all himself. He used polite langguage, but he did talk at length on a nmber of subjects. There was no mistaking what he meant. He ws very specific about what he wanted to do, and why.

As you will recall from teh Lynnette clark itnerview, she said some inflamatory things. We didn't trick her in to making those statements, either.

I realize that I'm making a technical point here, but Martin and I would be very boring if we only interivewed people that we agreed with. "Safe" interviews would put you to sleep.

The same thing holds true for the ATS Mix and the BTS Mix. We might make you mad every now and that, but you will get some food for thought. You will be able to tell anyone who cares to listen WHY you disagree be-cause we gave it to you straight, with no bull.

Insightful interview. Certainly made me think....instead of bandying the term "racist" around as a Pavlovian reaction every time a group or individual raises concerns about unprecedented mass immigration, maybe we should focus on the Powers That Be who have placed this term at the centre of contemporary discourse and start asking why that is.

In my opinion mass immigration is THE prime weapon in the NWO's attempts to dilute ALL cultures and civilizations and make us more enthralled to the rule of filthy lucre. One can't help comparing the situation in today's Europe with what is happening in Tibet (though of course the Chinese aggressors don't hide their aims behind a veil of liberal hypocrisy). Are the Tibetans also "racists" for seeking to defend themselves from ethnic and cultural annihilation?

Good luck to the BNP and all national resistance movements!

Perhaps those that seek to repeat the smears and slanders of the corporate media in relation to the likes of the BNP should ask themselves whose side they're really on.

Thanks to ATS for having the courage and insight to engage with the characters such as Mr Darby. You guys really are a credit to free broadcasting.

why don't you interview Colin Auty who is a councillor for the BNP ?

Colin is about to challenge the BNP's chairman for the leadership.

Colin believes, as with many other BNP members and ex-members tha the leadership of the Party is corrupt.

Now this would be an interesting interview

These anonymous posts confirm that Martin and I did our job. We went "above politics" to bring you something that you will NOT hear from any mainstream source. If you want to take issue with what these people say, you'll be able to do so in an intelligent manner, with specifics.

I think that's worth a few flags and stars...

The laws regarding free speech are not to protect speech which is welcomed and well accepted. It is there to protect the speech which would be unwelcomed by the majority.

Now if our enemys post propaganda on our web sites. It is our duty point it out, to decry it, to examine it and exemplify it. But not to pull it down.

If we can be so easily coaxed into abandoning our ideals, then we are easily overthrown by those with lesser ideals who at least have the will to perpetuate them.

It was a good interview, it shows the difference between the American and UK far right.

The British National Party have dropped the whole national socialist, anti-jew feeling (the party has an elected Jewish councilor). Apparently, the BNP has even expressed sympathy towards Blacks
