Free Energy? It can't be this simple, can it?

So I had a dead flashlight. It ran off of a rechargeable battery. No matter what, every time I turned it on and off 0ne time it would give at least 0ne flash of light.

I concluded, no matter how many times I flipped the switch, it will always light. No matter how dead....

Do you understand?

Any Einstein can figure that one out.

That is where your conclusion is wrong.
When you assume such things, you make an ass out of you and me!

When the stored electrons are totally gone, they are gone and you have a lump of metal oxides.

If you continue to drain the battery via on & off switch... if you did this long enough, would stop when the stored energy is finnally gone.

You concluded that after, say, 10 flips that the behavior would be the same after 5,000,000 flips? That be one mighty big leap in logic. But good for you in predicting the future with perfect certainty.

uhm, i have several flashlights w/ batteries in them that have been RUN DOWN by sons and i can assure you that if i walked in there to grab one right now and flipped the switch, nothing will happen; so i'm gonna have to disagree w/ you on this, based on actual evidence i have in my possession

Nice try, but no.

A battery is an electro-chemical storage device. When you think you're out of power, it just means the battery can't output enough to run the device... there is usually a little trickle left.

In the case of your flashlight, while off, you gave the batter a little time to equalize it's balance of charge, allowing a little more to be ready for use.



It's just like tilting your coke can a little further when theres a couple of drops left.

Just because those last couple of drops are there, and you can seemingly always get another out of it depending on how you tilt it, does not mean there's an infinite amount of coke inside the can.

Just means you haven't tilted it enough to get the last drops out.


By flicking the flashlight on and off, you are (metaphorically speaking) shaking the coke can when it's almost empty.

Thats easy.
You have a filament bulb.

Its like a coil.
However small a current or voltage you apply to it, being you
have almost dead batteries, when you turn it OFF you collapse
the ether field which WILL cause a spark at the switch point
meaning a large voltage was generated and illuminated the
bulb. I am thinking now the bulb illuminated and not the filament.

If you got filament light momentarily when you turned the flashlight
ON, then I don't know how that happened.

When Tesla turned on Edison power there was sparking.
A telegraph line effect might at work in that case which is
a series of inductors and capacitors.

I will weep for mankind if people will actually believe this.

If theories keep you from experimenting, you will never learn.

I said rechargable battery. I also said nothing about "leaving it on".

Oh well, guess you guys will have to figure it out later.

I'm not going to do your experiment.

So far as we know you have your own answer.
Do you think you are recharging the battery by on off switching.

I might have different answers for different observed facts.

You may not be the only one to have observed this phenomena.
I think I have and perhaps others.

I can't say rechargeable makes any difference.
Although the coil nature of a light filament might charge on switch on.

You know, I have an electronic remote control helicopter that runs infinitely?

Yeah, turns out the ACTION of flipping a switch ON and OFF actually creates electricity.

So when you have a rechargeable battery, the motion of ON actually charges the battery. Then switching OFF actually charges the battery too....

Mental illness. It's just genius.
