To call a democrat of 100 yeras ago the same as a democrat today
or to call a republican of 100 years ago the same as a republican today
is absolutely silly.
You use this argument that says "Liberals say that TDR was like a liberal, so that means liberalism was great!"
I believe that Teddy Roosevelt was a great American President, just like all history books. But to compare him with the likes of Hillary Clinton and
Barack Obama is just crap.
So does
Abraham lincoln Being a republican make all republican ideologies of today "divine
law"? No. It doesnt.
What today's libearls have turned into is a bunch of flip flopping yellow bellied cowards who can't say what tehy
really believe in, because
they'd loose the minority vote.
Today's conservatives are a bunch of money hungry vultures who can't say what they reall want - because they'd loose the "average" republican
vote.
If you want to compare ANY president to those of today's time, compare the only one who didnt belong to a party of any sort.
George Washington.
And he reason? Because he said it's bad for america and would split American interests. Looks like he was right.
There is no political answer today. Repub or Dem, Green, Independant, whatever. And why? Because they're all for themselves. They're all for
being able to say "yaaaaa mommy im president" and then....."..umm now what?"
and thats what i've been doing all along, picking apart BOTH parties.
To compare TDR to modern liberals is vile and disgusting.
Want proof?
By YOUR standards
Abraham Lincon was a republican and so is George W. Bush. Guess Bush was right, and liberals were wrong.
