news.yahoo.com...

This is a very interesting article that talks about how our brains try to see 1/10th of a second into the future. Take time to read this, it is very good.

That is very interesting and surprisingly believable. Is there any more research on this? I'd love to read more about this!

i would sum this up as the human brain processes things at a much higher speed than we perceive things to be happening, therefore we somehow seem to have foresight, no matter how few milliseconds 'ahead' it may be,

remember the brain is an incredible machine, what it can calculate & predict in the space of a few milliseconds could be invaluable depending on the circumstance

This is quite interesting. The human optic center predicting what will occur in one tenth of a second.

Of course, you can trick your mind through this into believing something that isn't happening.
Take for instance, a friend of yours, who is about to throw a ball to you. He takes you by surprise by pretending to whip the ball at you really fast. Your mind will cause you to actually see that ball depart his hand and travel towards you... until of course, you actually physically see that the ball isn't there.

Thats your mind predicting where the ball will be.

Same basic thing is happening with foresight. Based on information your mind already has, it calculates what things will look like (or should) a little bit ahead.
