Lets hope they don't lose any of the Shuttle knowledge. May need some of it again some day. If they dont do it they should have an archive service maintaining the science and tech they discover and use.

Hopefully they will lose it. The shuttle is a miscreant. Not fully reusable, not entirely self contained and not cheap. If they lose it, they will have to start over, which would be a good thing, provided they don't let the airforce anywhere near it.
