is this possible ( dig a hole )

ive just been sat out in my garden with my wife.
while i was there drinking my coffee and smoking my rollup i wondered

is there a way to find out, if i had a machine that could dig a hole directly below my garden and it was to go down down down until it come out the other side, were would it come out ?

im based in the UK ( north west )

any ideas ? is it possible to find this out ?

Well, the chance of you digging exactly straight, not to mention the survival of the conditions and pressures within the core seem slim, BUT! there's hope.

Interesting sometimes to see what happens on the opposite side of the Earth from various events. Whole heaps of fodder for conspiratorial cannon there.

I think this will be all the more interesting if not important and life saving to consider such sites when there are quakes 8.0 and above.

We now know that such things ARE or at least can be linked to opposite sites and others around the world as the reverberations resound.
