yesterday I went to sea to collect some stones and shells and stuff, and found a weird thing:
(sorry for the blurry pic,I took it with my cells cam)
so I went home and searched for sea urchin and found a similar thing :
A strange looking Australian sea urchin from the Miocene period (40 million years old). This fossil was found in the Beaumaris Formation, in Victoria,
and has large pores for defensive spines on the top and bottom of the test. A beautiful fossill. Size 1 1/4" by 1 1/4" (3 cm x 3 cm).
It says that this sea urchin is from Australia,
but I found it here in Norway,if its the same thing, how is that possible?
