Here in The Netherlands our government is out of control and taxing it's citizens into poverty. Even the European Central Bank is calling out to them to stop running the country into the ground.

And guess what their newest tax scams are... Right, environmental taxes.

In a time span of 6 months they introduced packing tax on supermarket products, extra tax on airplane flights and extra tax on cars that have engines bigger then 2 liters, effectively putting the tax on a car at 65% of the buying price!

And they hide behind the environment to justify these taxes that are according to them necessary for our survival. Do they spend the money they gain with these environmental taxes on actually improving the invironment?

Of course not, because that is obviously not the point. The point is to capitalize on the new invironmental hype and make big money off it. They are discussing a new environmental tax with a big smile on their face as we speak. What is it? Co2 tax. Yes they want to measure the Co2 output on all citizens and let them pay for it accordingly. What's the next step? Well we jokingly speculate here in The Netherlands that it will be breathing tax. Everybody produces Co2 when they breathe so...

What these hypocrits that call themselves politicians should do is get off the big oil egotrip and start utilizing alternative energy (which I'm certain we already have). But unfortunately our government and royal family are heavily in league with Royal Dutch Shell. So they tax their citizens into poverty through all these so called "necessary" invironmental taxes and get rich whilst also in the meantime making billions of the inflated oil prices.

When politicians jump onto a bandwagon you know somethings up. It's either a way to get more cash out of you without you noticing, or it's a bit of cheap popularity. The fact that so many politicians are keen to be green is really what swings it for me.

Notice how all this environmentally friendly stuff you can buy is really expensive? Do you think about anything when you're sorting your household waste into different bags? paper for one bag, metal for another bag, plastic for another bag. (In my country you have to do this by law) Yeah think about this next time you're sorting your waste. A guy at the recycling plant used to have a job doing that, now you're doing it for him and the plant saves money.
