Thats correct. Even in relation to the subjects of ATS...conspiracy, conspiracy, conspiracy...there are threads Ive wanted to open but couldnt because they just dont fit in anywhere.

All the stuff we discuss here has major psychological and philosophical implications.

Keep yes-votes coming in please. A post = a vote.

I can understand how such a forum could go down hill fast with the way some people look to fit a conspiracy into a situation where there isnt one or to create one out of nothing . The best way to avoid this would be to have the forum on BTS . Of course it isnt possible to stamp out illogical and ill rational arguments entirely .

I support this. Haven't we tried to petition for a consciousness forum before though? The thread seemed to show a lot of support, but it looks like the mods didn't respond.

Is there a target number of supporters you are hoping for?

Im not sure. I know its technically a hassle to create a new Forum, which is why it hasnt been done yet. Enough to show the site administration that it will be an active forum and that the mind is indeed relevant to ATS-Topics.

And yes, we´ve had petitions for a psychology/philosophy forum and for a metaphysics/consciousness Forum. Im grouping these two areas into ONE so that the chances of us getting that Forum increase.

I am surprised to see no reaction yet from the administrators rooted in the advertising industry.
That industry is firmly based on using mass-psychology to influence consumers.
Combined with a massive use of statistic laws.

Yes, you can make the obvious observation that ATS forum readers and writers can be classified as "consumers of conspiracies".

So, yes.
We urgently NEED a forum to shine a neutral light on mass-influencing techniques.

I've had an idea for a thread bouncing around in my mind since I registered here but have not written it because I could never decide where I would even put it.

If this forum is created, I'll start writing immediately.

Add another "Yes" to the tally.

Diversity of subjects is one of the great strengths of ATS, IMO. This can only help, as there are many subjects in this area remaining unaddressed.

Good idea.

(And to lessen the workload of setting up a whole new forum, Admin might want to simply rename a current, yet largly inactive forum. I would think changing the title of a running forum that is getting little use would be easier than starting from scratch.)
