Crane collapses in New York City; at least 1 dead

Thats funny, the one that broke on 7th ave. two years ago was wood. Channel 2 NBC had pics of it on the 5 o'clock news. Thats where I got that information from. It was oak planks 4 inches thick wraped in Steel bands and it was 5 ft in diameter. They said the pipe was installed in 1887.

Much of the infrastructure for the entire nation, for that matter, is old and decrepit and just falling apart. This country's entire infrastructure was laid out after the New Deal!!! Much of it has gone untouched since it's initial construction.
