Well... no real conspiracy here, other than the probable induced and intended destruction of our economy...

36 Retail Stores
Closing Doors

From Foot Locker and Home Depot to Ann Taylor and Linens 'n Things, we round up more than 30 retailers that are closing (at least some) of their doors.

Linens 'n Things -- Stores Closing: 120

Foot Locker -- Stores Closing: 140

Wilson's Leather -- Stores Closing: 160

Home Depot -- Stores Closing: 15

Zales -- Stores Closing: 105

Dell -- Stores Closing: 140

84 Lumber -- Stores Closing: 12

Which means alot more lost jobs, probably leading to more lost homes. I think there are about 31 chains of stores listed at the link. There have been some others reported on along the way, but this may be the start of the bulk of many closings nation-wide to come.

Kinda of an old post, but REALLY important to point out

Every ones attention is on whats happening with the 'big' money..well, I'm not in 'big' money, nor do I have any investments...

But this puts into perspective the fallout of what is to each of these big guys go down, more lost jobs, more foreclosed houses, less money being spent, more stores closing and layoffs, more companies fold....

good job for pointing this out, its too bad more people didn't pay attention to this when you first posted it..

any way to get an up to date on this list?
