So, I live in Houston, driving down 59 south (15 minutes ago)and I notice an 18 wheeler towing a very new looking trailer with no tags. And it's being followed by a white crown vic; dark tinted windows, tx exempt tags; occupied 2 times, MDT glow inside.

Pull up alongside the rig and on the side is El Rey trucking or something.

So whats in the truck? Why no tags? Why official state vehicle providing escort?

Any ideas? Just curious

Could be he is escorting back to the border? Really can't tell.

Bunty Soap.. Those people run a dirty business. The driver's name was probably Galaganookis.

I'm gonna have to side with SantaClaus on this one. That sounds like the most direct answer that'll get the job done!

Are you sure the truck said El Rey trucking? A Google search turns up pages & pages of possible results: Anything from tacos to toys to cigars...

Of course, being followed by a State car, it could have been anything of a size that could fit into the truck, literally. Knowing the way government operates nowadays, who knows what kind of state-sponsored horrors could have been in a truck that size?

We'll never know....but I also get a little suspicious of unmarked trucks...(not that I see tonnes! but when i do see one...I wonder). I blame that X-Files episode, where Mulder and Scully run accross the country following a White unmarked semi-truck...

I always wonder...except I've never seen one being escorted...up in Canada we don't have many police escorts - except for the July 1st Parade..lol.
