An interesting read indeed. Typical spin politics during a campaign year. Funny how the dems are not yelling about GW's "proof" of service in the 70s.

BTW, I am a registered Republican who is disillusioned with both parties at this point.

You are not alone, my friend.

Unfortunately Kerry is not without his faults. He killed an investigation into Vietnam War POWs in the 80s. That move from a veteran from the same war? I'm afraid that no matter who wins the election, middle class people like us will not be among the winners.

Kerry is really no different than Bush, other than he actually went to Vietnam and took it like a man. He obviously came home and sold out, tho. He's just as bought.

My main concern is getting rid of the Neo Cons. They are making a ruin of the United States and the world in general.

well, that article has some spin to it. In 1992, in a post cold war world, I would think it would be a good move to cut ICBMs also, but not during the cold war. Just like this comanche system, (which started out in 1983 i think) just cut was a good idea [to cut] for todays world. Yet, Kerry voted against Reagan's SDI and B1's (imho, that wasn't wise during the cold war). And, did I read that article right, Kerry voted against Patriots, Apaches, cruise missiles...used in Iraq/Afghanistan.

It's probably better to look at who cut what and when, rather than have that writer tell you what he thinks should have been cut.
