To say this is Orwellian is a bit of an understatement. George Orwell would be bug-eyed screaming at what's happening today. It would be funny, if it wasn't so godawfully sick and perverted, that the US media refers to countries like Russia and North Korea as having "state-controlled media." It's the same thing here in the US. It's just that the corporations that own the media are the more slick used car salesmen who think they can forever cast the illusion that they're seperate from the government. Let's see the right wing blowhards try the "liberal media" label now!
