i had NO IDEA there was a fun little art section! i can't wait to 'play'!!
i'm a self-employed commercial artist, and have been for nearly eight years-
you may have seen some of the floral prints appearing on my web page in home decor
stores (my publisher distrubutes them) the work i do commercially is NOTHING
like what i do for myself and my own enjoyment, but like someone else said...
gotta pay the bills!! i prefer doing figurative work, but usually reserve that
for my self or galleries (not for publishing).

maybe when i get more time, i'll throw my personal pieces on a page- i'm glad to see this area
here in the boards... i'll definitely be back and popping in and out!

my wifes work
Forgive me but the only thing working is the scrolling nav at the bottom of the page.
But you can see thumbnails, just click on them to load a larger view.

This is work in progress and will stay that way till I get money to finish the site up more the way I want it to be.

I have just started producing free digital artwork for the Creative Commons, where as anyone can copy, distribute, transmit, or remix my images for personal or commerical purposes. Most are parodies of recent events, but there's also some mixed media that is just for aesthetic purposes or laughs.

So have a looksie and tell me what ya think

Hi regenmacher.

I love the look of your artwork. I am trying to raise capital to start an airline in New Zealand. I'd love to turn you loose on developing artwork for my airline's website. There would definitely be some monetary reward involved.

Sadly my artwork talents don't extend to graphics because I came to computer technology late in life.

I do however paint seascapes. Here's just two examples:

See now I am so ignorant that I can only guess that a Gfx tablet is something to do with graphics.

Thanks for the compliments. Those are scenes around my city. The assistant art director for Lord of the Rings saw my paintings and offered me work on King Kong, but I never heard back. Shame. He's now doing a movie about The Dambusters as the Director. Their loss I suppose.

Art biz can be a rather fickle biz, sometimes you got to keep pestering prospective clients and showing them your works in order to get the contracts or commissioned.

Keep your brushes clean and keep on painting. Passion fuels success.
