Massive explosions reported in Iraq, at least 100 dead. The attack was focused on Iraqi Shias celebrating one of their holiest days in Karbala and Baghdad.

news.bbc.co.uk...

US Officals said Mortars had been used. The blasts were reported around 0700 GMT.
Figures are unclear, but at least another hundred people are believed to have been injured.

and wasn't it suposed to be an attack in usa or uk nope all the terrorist went back to fight in Iraq and in afganistan. so terror has went back to its own region. if saddam wasn't put out of its command we had the terrorist in the western world so make your choice

If you got the two ethnic groups in Iraq mad at each other and sparked off a civil war, the country would be MUCH harder to rule - and would justify the introduction of stricter controls, delayed elections, etc. The Ireland of the middle east...

Just because the invasion is over does not mean the killing is over.

Not tryint to sound like a smart ass or anything, but Im starting to think that its hardly even news anymore that somebody over there blew somebody else up. Its getting redundant.

True. t's like suicide bombings and military incursions in Israel. The only news is when they're NOT blowing each other up.

As redundant as it gets. We are still over there.

Now that American soldiers are yonder, every terrorist in that region is going to take a pot shot. Yet does Bush or his criminal administration have to take any responsibility? Nope...

some religion. They are bombing their own people at a religious pilgramige. You think they would rise up and defend themselves from the nuts in their own race.

Oh well, let them blow each other to hell. I am tired of the US being involved. I say we take the oil, secure the wells and let those jack asses kill each other...

Sorry just tired of the violence tied to their God. They are idiots, christians had them during the crusades and now muslims have them.

There is still a power struggle.... Until there is a recognized Iraqi government, that the people are happy with, this will simply be an ongoing occurance... We sure are taking our sweet time about this.....

It is economically feasible to take their sweet time about this.....Also doesn't the US still have to justify their WMD reasoning?

I think whether or not the war in Iraq was justified by WMD reasons, it will always be justified by deposing of Saddam Hussain.
