I have had the same feeling for a long time......waiting. A buddy and I would talk about all sorts of stuff about life, death, the universe, our creator, our savior, and everything in between, like if we were philosophers or something. For years now, it has been feeling like something big is going to happen. It was actually my friend that asked me that question. "Do you ever feel like your waiting for something, like something big was going to happen?". This was about 10 years ago about. We studied on a lot of things like cultures, religions, magick, and history. I did more of the studying on those subjects, he did more on the majick than I have tho. He got stuck on that for awhile. Anyways I told him I had that feeling for a quite a while myself. Probably explains all the different jobs I've had, and how I lived my life. I was going to join the military, 3 times I was real close to, but the 3rd time I was actually going for it, I ended gettin shot, with the bullet going through my knee, shattering it, this was over 2 yrs ago. Now, I can't ever join the military, but so glad now that I don't have to. I live in Olathe, KS, I moved out of here about a dozen times now in the past several years, but for some reason, I keep coming back, each time didn't want to at all.
Now, to understand things, you have to always have an open mind on things, having common sense with common knowledge, and especially knowing our history, history repeats itself over and over and over again. I go by the bible only as a guideline, nothing more, nothing less. It's been translated over and over again throughout history, some scripts lost, some even burned, and some changed to make some things sound better. All I know, something is going to happen, a whole bunch of events, one after another, and some at the same time, all over the world. Even the bible explains things that are happening now, and some for awhile, but the list is getting super short now. I am a very very analytical person, but very open minded, with common sense and logic, reason, and faith. God is something totally different than what people think, even than what I think, I'm sure. Theories are what we have, as well as faith as humans nowadays. Soon, everyone will know what's about to happen. People are wanting change, but no one is doing a thing about it. History tells, either we change, or change will fall upon us, forcefully. And when we are forced to change, nature, in any way, takes lives away. History shows that. To me, I am still waiting, just several years from now, the waiting will stop. Then for awhile it's gonna be very hectic for several years. Gonna be to busy to wait for that crap to end tho. But life hasn't stopped because of the wait.

I feel we aren't meant to live the way we live, in a modern consumption society, where you have to work all your life and pay taxes, and you just hope to save some time for fun and self-development.

I couldn't agree with you more. We are not meant to live our lives the way we do. Our governments are not doing what they are suposed to do, which is help us. Instead they are doing the opposite. I guess it could be said that history repeats itself, as I'm sure that throughout time there has been some kind of controlling corrupted power ruling over everyone.

Personally I think we need a revolution.

Maybe it's all the toxins in our drinking water making us dreary. Feeling like you are waiting for something constantly is alot like depression. It may not seem that way but once you join a site like this and discover that the world is a pretty dark, insidious place it makes sense that our current semi-happy way of life may not last.

This in the world of food shortages, ridiculously insane oil prices (I hear fuel-oil this winter up here in Alaska is supposed to be 8-9 bucks a gallon), politicians with the common sense of a horses patoot, etc...etc..etc......
The list goes on..

In the past the doomsdayers/doom and gloomers had all their theories based on conjecture. Now that all this is currently unfolding before our very eyes with fuel prices/oil prices we feel (or at least I feel) uncertainty about what's around the bend. So in that sense I do feel like i'm waiting for something. Something that is not exactly good but right around the bend. If you prepare for the worst you will be prepared for anything. That's why I feel it is important to do whatever you can now.

I have plans for myself and my family if we are forced to fend for ourselves. I suggest everyone at least have some kind of plan just in case. If you don't want to, that's ok. But luck does favor the prepared .

This situation is only going to degrade until X happens. I don't know exactly what X is, it could be a whole variety of things from the collapse of our economy to the initiation of a police state. But X is very bad for this entire country and with what is currently going on in the world geopolitically and economically we may not have much time left to enjoy this time we have now.

I don't think it's very difficult at all to what some refer to as the "spiritual bankruptcy" of our entire political infrastructure all the way up to the president. This includes war profiteering, the accountability that the government has dodged since Katrina, etc.. If you look at Katrina you can see how our nation would respond. They would have no idea what is going on. And if it happens on a nationwide scale we are completely FUBAR!!!
