i'm sorry i myself don't have anything intellectual to add to this thread, and no pun intended, but she's about as sharp as a well tumbled river rock.

I am a Chinese, quite a few of my friends (Chinese) disagree or
partly disagree our government’s political opinion on Tibet. We are fully respected to those people who fight for their freedom.
But what I am thinking now is what kind of person Dalai Lama really is because he has such a good friend like you; does he really care about people especially children (including lot of Tibet People)who lost their lifes and loved of family in this disaster??????

Who cares what she says? I don't criticize her, she makes an interesting proposition...what have you heard about China regarding Tibet since the earthquake? Nothing, if anything this has helped the Chinese government divert attention away from Tibet. China does some shady things and I suppose if it's in your belief system this seems reasonable...but it's definitely not a mainstream view point.

If there is really karma, Sharon Stone will be haunted by 60,000+ souls.

She apparently also cursed in this interview (this was reported in Chinese in the video). Celebrities have a responsibility, especially when they have influences on millions of people. Cursing and be so cold-blooded about the tens of thousands victims, hundred of thousands woundeds, and tens of other thousands of missing and to become handicapped. Not to mention the millions of people directly affected, many of them lost everything. thousands of dead CHILDREN, even more thousands of orphans! This is why she should never have said such a brainless and insultive thing, implying and claiming that she know anything about what karma is.

Karma was at play, karma is ALWAYS in play with anything in our life and this earthquake happened for a reason. But to claim that this Natural disaster is a direct reactions to whatever the Chinese government has supposed to do with Tibet is plainly out of order. If she was such a good friend with her buddy dalai lama, then she should have made a call and get a new lesson about karma before she make another brainless claim in an interview!

As for the supposed no news about Tibet by some probably pro-Tibet (anti-China) ATS members. Maybe you have to check better by yourself. The Chinese government is having a direct dialogue with the personal representatives of the dalai lama. These talks are still going on, in person and by cals etc. Also IF you did check, then you will know that the dalai lama just visitted the UK and made a lot of new promising statements in normalizing tensions in Tibet. Which is AFTER that VIOLENT RIOT, now peaceful again, if you did check news (and not only from some Western MSM), then you should also know that the first touristic groups are visitting Lahsa again! And the Olympic Torch will also arrive in Lahsa in the coming weeks, after it went to Sichuan for a day. Geez, talking about getting out of your lazy ... and do some own research work! No wonder people like Sharon Stone is so populair in the world..... so idol, so fan.

It is irresponsible and stupid for her to make comments like that in public. I do not see her express much of her own opinions except using some empty adjectives like "bad" "not nice" in incongruent sentences. Well I guess to be beetle-headed is fine, that's her own business after all. But to be that heartless really hurts other people.

The words from this old woman sounds really no quality. She said it was Karma just because DLma is her friend, she is too selfish. And another thing is that she is changed too much in different backgrounds. When last year she visited Shanghai, she said China was great country, when she is in USA, she said China is a damn country. Who are going to believe her anymore. A Cheater!

Give Sharon a break. But this reflects poorly on His Holyness, the Dalai Lama. This is the kind of people that Dalai is friend with, and yes that weasle Richard Gere too. Dalai has just lost the last shred of credibility for me. Besides, I read Dalai's sect of Budism is the epitome of repression. Basically it's an evil and barbaric religion, as is he himself. So if you are into Budism, Zen is your thing, or else you risk becoming brainless, souless, inconsiderate hussy like Sharon Stone.

You have full freedom to be a "friend" of Dalai, but you have absolutely no right to insult and curse all those earthquake victims in China! by saying "it is a karma ..."! Yes, Dalai is very nice to you, as he needs yours and other western money to continue his conspiracy of trying to separate Tibet from China, all under his mask of being "nice", "peace", "non-violence", and "just seeking real autonomy " ... pretending to be a "spiritual leader", but in fact a dirty and corrupted third-class politician. He can never be compared to the late Panchan Lama who was a real man and really cared his Tibetan folks, and he can never be compared to Nelson Mandela, who really cared his SA black people. What Dalai in contrast cared is only his own regaining power in his dreamful "Greater Tibet".

Has he ever been nice to more than 95% of those ordinary Tibetan folks who used to be serf slaves of himself and his lamas under his medieval style theocratic rules (until 1951) which was not only totally authoritarian, non-democratic, very very inhuman but also extremely gruesome?

He and his lamas used kids skins for their "spiritual" ritual ceremonies, axed off serfs hands and feet just for minor offenses, tortured and raped their serfs whenever they as serf owners wanted to, and used serfs' human skulls as their drink bowls for their parties ... horrible and disgusting! ...

Was he and his "Tibetan-government-in-exile" so nice to those more than 95% ordinary Tibetans and Chinese folks by shamelessly instigating the 3/14/08 Lhasa deadly riots? During which more than 20 Chinese (incl. an ethnic Tibetan girl burnt to death with other four Han girls) were killed by Tibetan mobs?

Was he and his "Tibetan-government-in-exile" so nice to Chinese, by having his pro-independence followers viciously attacking a disabled Chinese lady bearing and protecting her torch on wheelchair during Olympic Torch relay in Paris? Shameless and criminal! ...

Sharon Stone, you are almost hopeless! - if you didn't learn a lesson from what you said - in an extremely insulting and totally unaccepted way - in Cannes about the China quake victims, and didn't formally apologize to all Chinese people on your evil remarks. And we do hope God, and all those who were killed by the Sichuan earthquake, would forgive you when you one day go to the Heaven, and you wouldn't get your own deserved "karma".

What a shame! Sharon Stone's comment on the massive loss of human being demonstrates how shallow she is. A fifty years old woman has a 4 years old IQ. I am sure that the reputation of Hollywood stars will be ruined by her behavior somehow.
