I use a program called audacity so it saves the files I make in WVA format. I can't seem to be able to convert the file in WVA format to MP3 format for the podcast. Two questions. Would it work as a WVA format file? How could I convert it to an MP3 file?

There is a program that is called GoldWave.

GoldWave

Just open the file in GoldWave and save as an MP3. Hope this helps.

You'll need LAME so that you can export them as MP3s directly from within Audacity.

Hope this helps.

A speedily effective way to do it is by downloading a software called ABCAudioConverter.

Yep you need the LAME library, what should happen is when you export as an MP3 the program Audacity will automaticly ask you to locate the LAME encoder library. So save it somewhere where you won't want to move it latter. Then once that Audacity finds LAME it will never ask again and you can easily export your podcast into MP3 Format.

Audacity is a good one. You can also try another free one called CDEX.
