Its a good question as to why they are waiting and I simply cant answer that. Im sure our government is doing its best and have stopped many attacks that will never make the mainstream. I cant imagine what they are watiing for, maybe a target large enough to hit?? Maybe to get everyone in position for future attacks....I dont have a clue.
The closest thing that has crossed my mind over the last year on why they are waiting is because they are trying to find out a way to target the 2005 inaguaration of the next president when most of our government will be present. But thats simply a wild guess.

just an opinion.9/11 was a large scale attack on some heavy duty american institutions by someone with the resources ie:money,motivation(religious,idealogical)and access to information.as far as the cia goes,they could not fund it,they could give strategic info(remember oppenhimer and his little toy)and just let it happen.after9/11 do they really have to do any more for now.how would you follow up an attack like that.you can't get much bigger than 9/11.maybe mad cow disease,sars,chicken flu,anthrax????(remember terrorism is meant to instill fear about every step you take,every door you open,every lettter you get,every bite or drink you take.)

The "shadow" Government doesn't rig elections, it creates elections. If you had the amount of money that the world's elite do, you could play games that deal with people's livelihood too. Just look at Oracle's hostile takeover bid of PeopleSoft. This has nothing to do with Oracle and PeopleSoft's marketshare. Sure, just like any company, Oracle want's to monopolize the market. But the real reason Oracle wants PeopleSoft is because of a bitter rivalry between Oracle's CEO, Larry Ellison, and his one time protege, Craig Conway, CEO of PeopleSoft. All it is is a Larry Ellison with an over-inflated ego and a pissed off attitude that the person he once worked with would tread on his domain.

Anyways, just look at the progression of presidents. Its kind of like odds and evens. We get a "good" one, we get a "bad" one. And vice versa. It is done to play with the human consciousness. One president will make most of society feel up, the next will make it feel down. It is probably to bolster expectations. So you get a "crappy" president, the next one has got to be better then the one you have, right? When you get that next president, everything seems better, and thats when you start to get blindsided by their actions. You see, its the actions of the "good" president you should be worried about - because those are the actions you don't notice.

You see before we were not kicking al quada's ass, now we are, it's simple really. Also, comparing us to Israel were the bombers can simply walk or drive over is not comparing apples to apples.

The terrorists were not foreign? How little you really know. I hope you stop claiming your oppinions as facts because most were and are foreign. I have first hand experience with the subject and you really should stop your lies and making claims which are completely false.

Al-Queda is not hamas.. Al-Queda has a large ocean which makes supplying their operatives more difficult. It is this reason they only go for major attacks here every 3 - 4 years. We were attacked in 1993 - 1994, 1998, 2001, and again we will be attacked in 2004. Every attack has gotten progressively more lethal. I would expect the use of WMD in some form on the next attack. Al-Queda does not have the same amount of people in the organization to allow daily suicide attacks. Within 2 months they would probably have nobody left inside the USA to do bombings. They have to rely on large scale attacks every few years.

Your answer lies in my post just above this one to why we don't see suicide bombings like Israel/Palestinians conflict. Palestinians have thousands of potential suicide bombers living miles away from Israel. Al-Queda has maybe 20 - 50 operatives inside the USA. How long do you think suicide bombing could last? Instead they plan and conduct large scale attacks every few years because it is all they can do yet it is effective.

You say terrorist attacks haven't happened since 9/11 but your wrong. The anthrax was terrorism, the bombing of the Yale university mailroom shortly after 9/11 was terrorism, and the plane crash in NY shortly after take off was terrorism. Al-Queda realized it is too difficult to make small attacks on a regular basis with its limited amount of people. An attack will happen of the 9/11 caliber every 3 - 4 years and we are due for another this year.

America didnt wish 9/11 upon themselves...And another reason why there hasnt been an attacks, the terrorists' are scared. Well, countries are anyway. Iraq for example, they didnt want anything to do with the Americans, but because they had oil, bush had to go stick his nose in someone else's business, and whats worse is that he dragged us Aussies into it aswell! Not that it's all Bush's fault, Howard is a pussy. It's as plain as that. he can't do anything by himself, he is the worst prime-minister ever. He follows Bush like a lost puppy! And then it's not all America's fault, they went there, got rid of Saddam, and what thanks do they get? They get an American citizens car lit up, the bodies pulled out and mutilated. From my point of view, Iraq are just digging themselves a deeper grave with the whole decapitation thing...

Even for terrorists it's hard to get someone to sacrifice their life for there cause,but I do think there is some terrorists in the U.S and they have to be planning big because if they just wanted to kill people and make a scene they would get a couple of machine guns and go to the nearest mall or wallmart and open fire, And we all know how easy it is to get a gun in the U.S.

The reason we went into Iraq was for multiple reasons. Bring the war on terror to the region rather then the region coming onto US soil. Our allies in Israel have escalating violence in the region. Missile defense technology is needed in the region. If we went to war with North Korea without Iraq our supply lines are too long and Iraq is a great strategic location for supplies. Iran may fall which could result in civil unrest. Iran may already have or be close to nuclear missile technology. Syria continues to fund hamas and islamic jihad and expresses teaching to hate the west.

You see Bush didnt just sit around and one day say "I'm gonna go finish what we started." We have a multi billion dollar super computer that calculates present and future models of where the world is going. It creates a possibilty of millions of scenarios and then returns t he best possible action for our government to take. The best options was to get into the region ASAP and what better country to get us in there then to go into Iraq.. We didnt want to attack anyone but the Saudi's wanted us out so we needed a new "home base" in the region especially with the way the world looks in 10 years from now. We are expecting a major war to break out and aside from wars the possibility of cataclysm or asteroid impacts changing the earth within the next 20 - 30 years. Many countries don't have the ability to help their own people so we need to be there in case the sh*t hits the fan. Our only option was to remove saddam and use Iraq for many many reasons including terrorism, Iran, North Korea, defending Israel, economic, and world defense from ICBM's. Our computer models said this was the best option.

It is all very basic psychology by a power hungry US government.

Take any group of people, say a bus load of people that do not know each other, all individuals. Then suddenly the driver says HEY they are trying to wreck our bus and kill us all. Pretty quickly everyone bonds together into a group. WE the passengers must fight this menace TOGETHER.

So the US government says Communism is the great evil, the cold war is a just cause and WE Americans will all fight this great threat together. Wave the flag, be patriotic, and all that stuff...........
