I'm thinking of trying my hand at some baking and have been reading up on the internet about proper technique. I found this particular webpage handy
because it has pictures. Enjoy.
Boy am I glad I was wrong on the actual meaning of the title of this thread.
In my younger days, pinching a loaf was slang for...well its probably best if I don't say, but we all do it.
I wasn't sure what to make of the title to this thread. And after I saw the photo, I started forming humorous images in my mind. I'll try my hand at
'baking bread' next time (yeah right, whenever).
When I saw the word 'pinch' in the title, I remember the baby sitter and how she pinched to discipline her children -- squeeze, tighter, lift and
twist (hard)!
I love baking bread. Bread is so much fun to make and tasty too! I do recommend one of those spiffy handy dandy bread making machines cause it causes
the bread to bake more evenly and reduces the amount of crust on the bread.
Yum yum nothing better than fresh baked bread right out of the doohicky!
