Crazy Weather Today, May 22, 2008

Tornados reported in northern Colorado. I couldn't get the NWS image into this post for some reason, but the area hit was around Greeley.

I sat down to write this post because we just had a thunderstorm pass through here in southwest SoCal. A big one. Lots of thunder and lightning and torrential rain. I can't remember ever having a thunderstorm like this in May, and I've lived in SoCal all my life, and here in the southwest area for the last seven years.

As I headed for the computer, I heard the news talking about tornados in Colorado. That sounded kind of unusual for this time of year, as well.

The weather is going whack.

At least one massive tornado swept across northern Colorado's Front Range on Thursday, killing at least one person, demolishing buildings and dumping golf-ball-size hail in places, a sheriff's deputy said.

I'll take a thunderstorm...

Over the potential snow I'm looking at having to deal with...

Actually I thought the weather the last month in SoCal was a bit off... First too cold, then too hot for the time of year.

This is what happens when man messes with the weather.

The rivers are flooding here, in Northwest Colorado, and there is still at least 5 ft of snow in the highcountry. Unheard of for this time of year, and it is raining hard right now, with the river swelling in the middle, all the while the entire (nearly) forests of Colorado are dead.

Not from beatles, as they suggest, but from the poison in the sky. One more chink against the chemtrails, IMO.

Maybe the weird, scary weather will wake people up, but I doubt it.

What's so unusual about a tornado in Colorado this time of the year?
They hit out here all the time, especially on the eastern end of the
state. It is almost June, and we have tons of these storms. Nothing
to panic about unless one is over the top of your home. The weather
hasn't gone wacky, it is that time of the year for tornados and lots
of hail and thunderstorms. Business as usual.

Its just China hitting us back with their tornado gun for the HAARPquake we visited on them a few weeks ago.

This weather is not the norm.

To refer to your own thread.

This thread is not to state whether I believe in UFO's, ET, Chemtrails,
or any of the hundreds of other issues that have to do with this.

It doesn't matter one way or other how I personally believe.
This is only a question to the many people who don't believe in
any of these extremely serious issues, or worse yet, are actually
paid debunkers to tell the rest of us that we are all crazy, delusional

Just seems to me you a bit to ready to accept the weather as commonplace, ignoring all the chemtrails and cloud seeding going on.

This year, we had record snows in the high country, and recently record heat.

What is so "normal" about breaking records?

Not trying to pick a fight, I just find it curious that after four years on this sight, and relatively few posts (144 in four years, average of 33 per year) would be so quick to try and "debunk" this thread.

I'm your neighbor in Nevada. Last night it got bone-chilling cold with strong winds here. Of course, my bone-chilling cold may not be the same as some states. However, it is extremely cold here for May! Another thing that concerns me is those toads/frogs popping up in Bakerfield's California. Like China before the big quake.

To me, the chemtrail are the cause of the weather.

No, I apparently haven't read your thread about whatever you
are talking about. And, I firmly believe in Chemtrails and what they
can do to our weather and to humans. On the other hand, all I was
doing, was replying to a thread about the Tornados in Colorado
this morning, and how this can be very normal for this time of the
year, not only in Colorado, but all over Tornado Alley. Can we
stop mixing up threads about other things, when we are, or should I
say, we WERE talking about the so-called "normal" weather.

And one other thing. Do you keep a log of things I posted from a
long time ago? Are you a secret admirer, or what?

No, I just checked your profile.

Tornadoes that near the foothills is VERY uncommon, they are a little more common further east, in the plains. But, you seem to be the expert here.

It is now cold and quite windy around here, again unusual for this time of year. Normal weather would be overcast in the morning with the marine layer pushing inland, then clearing and warm for the afternoon, with the wind building from the northwest near the coast. T-storms are way more common in mid to late summer and early fall.

Just got word there is a tornado on the ground 20 mi. or so NE of here. definitely unheard of.

It's the ever changing planet, wait around a bit it'll change for ya, maybe to your likings maybe not.

I love Colorado Weather... it truly is unpredictable most of the time. Except for a few gifted weather folks like Kathy Sabine, she's usually pretty dead on when it comes to reading the storms and such, especially in winter.

I did some research on Yahoo awhile ago about the tornadoes in
the state of Colorado. It is really lengthy. For those who think that
Colorado has no tornadoes, or very few, here is what the Storm
Prediction Center posted on the number of tornadoes in colorado.
They keep track of all tornadic activity across the US.

The most in that state were 98 in 1996.
The least was 1 in 1959.
It also states that Colorado has an average of 29 per year.
It is true that it is fairly rare for a tornado to hit on the front range,
or close to the mountains where Ft. Collins and Boulder are located.
That is close to where the tornado hit today.

The majority of them are on the plains East of Denver and on towards
the Kansas border. But an average of 29 a year is hardly a rarity as
some poster alluded to.

Here in the Foothills of Los Angeles, (San Fernando Valley) we had lightning, thunder and hail. I'm at about 1850ft near Mt.Lukens. Yesterday was so windy it was ripping off tree limbs and scattering dust from the desert all over Los Angeles. Then a few days back it was 99 degrees and scorching. It just has been changing too drastically. Anyone else in SoCal feel like winter hasn't ended yet? I planted all my veggies and fruits in March and April like I was supposed to and they are suffering big time from the cold.

The weather today was really strange in southern cali considering it was in the upper 90's only a couple days ago. I don't think anyone saw it coming.
