Hi guys! I'm gonna be away on a trek in the hills till 29th May, culminating with the traditional feast of wild boars, partridges and other culinary delights during that good ol' campfire one usually ends up with!

Till then, CIAO! (Darn! I'll be missing ATS! No posts till then. One can't have the cake and eat it too, what?
)

Would have been wonderful if some you ATSers were in the gang too!

Now I gotta go pack some beer in the rucksack, so I'm off!

Cheers!

Thats what I need to do. Get away from civilization for a little bit and go walk through forests or mountainous areas. Its probably quite refreshing.

Anyways, have a great time Mike! Stay safe!

Enjoy your trek, Mike. Mike Trek: going where no conspiracy master has gone before.

Curious, on these trips do you at least bring a camera or two for that rare sighting?

Man that sounds like a lot of fun! Have a great time Mike! We'll all be waiting to hear all about your trek when you get back.

Try not to get abducted by aliens when you're away. I hear they don't lubricate their probes!
!

Stay safe bud!

Hi guys!!

I'm back!
Thanx to all of you for your best wishes.

Oh boy! What a binge that was! But then everything can't go as planned. First the good news...The score: Three wild boar, 14 partridges and six wild fowl. Wow, what a hunt!

Now for the bad news....The darn forest rangers screwed it all up!
(So what's new?!!) Shootin’ wild boar eh? OK guys, cough up $500 now for each wild boar or have a picnic in the lock-up and face the music. We decided to pay up - $1000 for two. That's because one smallish boar was stashed away in the attic of the log cabin!
And the second bad news is these bozos confiscated our cameras, but then returned them after much pleading the next day at the Rangers post a few miles downstream. And the dudes erased all the pics! Hey, didn’t you fellas know you ain’t allowed to shoot in these restricted areas? Damn!

So a one-boar barbecue it was! Not too bad, what with chaotic scenes around the campfire with a cousin of mine from the U.S. belting out some groovy, way out stuff on his guitar! But hey! All good things must come to an end, what?

Heck, I’m pretty bushed and need a day’s snooze to recuperate….But not before a can of beer!

Cheers!
