I just received this official press release from the Raelians and Rael (their leader)'s call for a "New World Order":

“The only solution to the world’s enormous problems is a world government and a world currency,” Rael said in a recent speech. “There is no other way out.”

He said the only effective solution lies in eliminating national currencies and nation states in favor of a money-less society governed by a World College of Geniuses.

“Refusing to see the necessity of these measures will trigger a world crisis that will kill billions of people through wars and starvation and possibly destroy all of humanity through global nuclear conflict,” Rael warned.

The Raelians believe that the reason we're in the mess we are in is because the people who govern us now are morally bankrupt or inept or both. The solution they propose is called Geniocracy, Government of the People, for the People, by the Geniuses!

In principle a good idea, but can it work with our current mindset? Is this a paradym shift that is possible for the world's population or just more pie in the sky? I don't know the answer to these questions because honestly...I'm no genius...
