I really don't believe that Obama is Muslim but if he is... who cares. There is no rule or law that the pres of the us has to be Christian.

Well since here (Michigan) has the largest population of Muslims outside of the ME .. I would say it was a good idea .. I mean they ARE voters . And if you want to win Michigan votes .. Your gonna need our HUGE Muslim population voting on your side...

Did anyone read the last paragrapgh where it said that Bush has also met this guy on several occasions? Does that make Bush a muslim?

Is it not better than Obama is seen to be meeting people of other religons, or would it be better just to stick to christians on his campaign?

Whatever the reasons behind it, all politicians are the same, they will meet whoever they need to in order to get the vote.

I'd never vote for Obama because I don't think he is qualified or yet ready for the job. Having said that; why would it matter if he met with a Muslim leader and how would that prove he is Muslim?

A Journalist from MSNBC asked Ted Kennedy if there would be an Obama/Clinton ticket in the November election. Ted Kennedy's reply was that Senator Clinton is too qualified to be Vice President.

There are many people who have not felt the same since the terrorist attack on 9/11/01. And no matter what my opinion or anyone else's opinion that is stated on this thread, all opinions count.

Senator Barack Obama has not been truthful and slips and slides in and out of whatever sounds better at the time. No doubt I'll hear comments like, oh like other politicians. Senator Obama is virtually unknown. His past is questionable and, in my opinion, to question his character, past associations, past legislative issues and current legislative issues as well as his loyalty to the United States is not unwarranted.

I can only go by what other members have said on other threads and, they have selected Senator Obama as their choice. However, he is not my choice and with what has been said on various threads I can't say that I've seen any convincing evidence or argument that Senator Obama should be elected President of the United States.

It has been mentioned on other threads of his ties to Kenya and his Muslim heritage and no doubt he would not deny them, as he could not deny Reverend Wright or his White Grandmother. I think it is offensive that Senator Obama can link most caucasions as "typical white people!" And at this point when a person runs for the highest office, comments he makes such as the one written above will not make anyone feel comfortable about Senator Obama in the Oval Office.

Anyway, I'm sure the next time I check this thread. I will see posts about other politicians being compared and the wrongs, etc. But what really has Senator Obama accomplished before running for President that makes him qualified for the highest position in the United States. What does he actually list on his resume before becoming Senator!?!?
