Normaly I would think that is a bad way to become a mod but since 8 new people became mods it would mean a lot of upgrades for ATS. That would be a good thing. The new mods however did not pay for upgrades to become a mod. They became it for some reason. The reason I do not know.

Springer is not a mod. Each new moderator invitation was discussed amongst senior staff and approved by Simon Gray. There are still a few pending invitations, so we may see a few more mods announced in this thread.
