Bird Flu and the UK

I was at my doctors today and he said something that shocked me. When i mentioned my Job as a computer engineer. He said i would be given preferential treatment when the bird flu epidemic hits the uk. Meaning i would be one of the first in line to get a bird flu jab as i am considered a key worker for the running of the country. I said what about everybody else he didn,t answer which to my mind means they can go hang. Obviously he,s expecting the UK to be hit by this at some point in the future
