You are feeling the New Madrid region precursors, which is why the docs find nothing wrong. I believe because you may be very sensitive to seismic events and also because you live so close to the current swarms in your region. I know we are feeling a lot better now that the Reno swarm has all but ended.

Vancouver Island swarm

There's a swarm around Vancouver Island that started during the night, all in the 4.0 range, I believe.

I noticed this morning that seismic activity has picked up in Nevada, a 3.0 in north central Nevada and four or five in the 2.5 range south east of Reno. I was just reading emails from friends who also noticed the strange clouds yesterday-- the "horse tail" type were in the sky all morning. We had a 2.5 here in Reno a couple days ago as well.

very close to home for me... not great news.. all consistantly over 4. and 6 of them in less then 8 hours. oh and all at that magic depth of 10km

oh.. and they aren't in order.

kattraxx and Pynner, thanks for the posts about the Vancouver Island swarms. I'm heading there today (gulp) and will watch the clouds and see if I feel any precursors.

I grew up on the southern part of van isle and it has always been a bit of concern as it is "split" in three by faults.
on of them runs up from victoria through lake cowichan/nitnat and back out to the sea. this fault has produced at least one 7+ that we know about... and that was in the 40's or 50's.

actually cause a tsunami in the lake and part of the mountain to slide. im sure it will happen again.

kind of an odd thing I wanted to mention too.. been talking to my dad who happens to live right on top of one of these faults and he's been telling me that once in a while, he gets this overwhelming feeling that a quake is about to happen. an overwhelming desire to LEAVE.
it doesn't happen all the time but at least once a week...

I wonder if that has to do with energy build up in the faults... or some sort of vibration that our body picks up... that in turn makes the natural instincts say " get the F out now!".

I have felt that same feeling..... Just an overwhelming sensation of fear, or the need to LEAVE immediatly, the most intense of these was one of the last 3.5 or bigger quakes we had a while back (was at depth of 10km) and for 2 or 3 seconds, my daughter (3) and myself looked at each other, and she had fear in her eyes, she grabbed me, and i almost picked her up and ran out of the house.... a few seconds later a quake hit, shook pretty good.
I dont know what caused it?? HAARP? I dont think it was natural, since we were in the middle of many quakes during the swarm, and that was the only one that put fear in my heart.
Very very weird feeling to say the least.

I still beleive this day that it was somekind of "un-natural" phenomenon that caused this feeling.

Yes, indeed I did think of HAARP. But im also wondering if maybe some of us are just waking up to some other "senses" that we have.
maybe being a bit pre-cog is the next step.. knowing something to happen just before it happens... maybe things will get so bad that we need it to stay alive, and the ptb are trying to keep us all doped up as not to realize/use the "power".

hows that for conspiracy?
lol

Hi everyone,

I am on southern Vancouver Island now and note there have been thirteen quakes off the west coast of the island today (5:30 pm local time) with a magnitude of 4.0 or larger.

I have moderate pain in my right ear and both ears feel like they need to pop. I am also feeling a lot of tension in my upper back and mild pain in my lower back.

Strange that I find myself here after months of not wanting to come back because of a new-to-me fear of earthquakes. I lived here for most of my life and never was afraid of quakes... what a day to come back! So glad I'm here to help my daughter (who's heading off to school) move to an area outside of major earthquake zones.

I see there was a mag 6.1 there on Vancouver Island at about 5.30 am local time, so I hope you are okay...

Vancouver Island Swarm

Mountain Dog, very interesting posts. I know that exact, seemingly irrational, fear your father speaks of, as does damntheptb. I think you may be onto something about where that primal need to escape comes from... and I believe it has to do with being right on top of a fault too. If he has any pets, has he noticed anything different in their behavior... like clinginess, restlessness-- wanting in and out constantly, etc?

Did you see that, like the EQ damntheptb mentioned, the Van Island EQs are also at exactly 10 km? I've only listed the link, in the interest of conserving space, because the list is getting long. As I've said before, this entire region, around the Juan de Fuca ridge, really gives me a creepy feeling, for lack of a better way to put it.

My concern is the 6.1 I read that anything over 5.5 in that area and surrounding areas could cause the ground to liquidify.

I prey all are well, I haven't heard anything on the news, oops I'm not listening to the news I'm traveling with Samantha Brown in Latin America right now.

I also see 6.2 Ascension Islands..... quakes look to be getting larger.

hmmmmmm, 4.4 off the Coast of Oregon

I'm still catching up on the posts... MountainDog, you must be rocking up there. Echoing JustMike's sentiments, I hope you are okay.

Pynner, good job picking up on the fact that the Nevada EQs were around the same time as a few of the larger Van Island ones. I received email alerts from USGS on a 4.1 and a 3.9 EQ in north central Nevada, and again they were deleted on the maps. I notice a 3.5 today in the same area that will probably be deleted as well. Not only have we, my boyfriend and I, been picking up Sierra precursors, but a few friends have commented on the strange clouds here three days ago and Char mentioned Sierra precursors in her email alert two days ago. So..... why they've been deleted by USGS... who knows? I'd cut and paste the text from the USGS email alerts, but the font is huge and I don't have time to dink with it right now. I did do a printscreen, so if it gets deleted again, we have it. There have also been a number of EQ's northwest of Las Vegas. Here's the link:
Nevada

And there was an EQ in Central California, right near the coast.

Hey all how has everyone been?

Still been following this thread, however I have not posted in quite some time here, because I felt i have had nothing major to add that has not been added already. However. I wish I could say this was still the case.

*My current Reoccurring event(4 days now) is one involving, Volcano's (specifically Yellowstone)erupting , Which either, is the cause, or caused by a major earthquake off the Coast of Oregon.*
