Yucca is supposed to be where they want to store the Nuclear waste but they have been having a little difficulty getting the go ahead. The area has already been set up and I hope they aren't storing anything there they aren't supposed to be storing there.

I'm coming to Vegas the end of Sept until Oct. 5th so I'm holding my breath myself.

Looks like as with everything it is wait and see and eventually time will tell.

I think I'm getting precursors for Indonesia, including Sumatra, Java, Jakarta, Moluccas, Celebs Sea areas.

Nice hit on that one... only a few hours before it hit you predicted it.. I have not been feeling any precursers at all... i think my body is still sore from all the hiking over the weekend camping....

well what do you know.... my ears just started ringing OR crackiling... im going to say
LEEWARD, WINDWARD ISLANDS, TRINIDAD, WEST INDIES
or
NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, BASED ON RINGING.... CANT TELL IF CRACKLING IS ACTUALLY CRACKLING....

Day two for this headache. Combining it with a couple other precursors, I'm going to say Southern California into Mexico.

Glad to see you back, damntheptb.

Welcome back damntheptb missed you. Two hours ago I checked the IRIS map and was a little surprised to see no red circles for new quakes this doesn't happen all that often. I just checked it again and within 2 hours it has over 8 listed over 4.4 hmmmm.

I'll be out today so I will check in later......casino practice for Vegas in Sept., my bad. (short session, lol.)

Where's Mike?

I believe this is the same area where the aforementioned Nevada EQ was deleted.

Observe, JustMike is on vacation this week.

Sorry guys, I have not been coming on much at all, since I got hit by that car I have not been well at all, the hospital called me to say that the radiologist needs me to go see my doctor, apparently he found something, I suspect it is whatever is causing me to be nauseated and have a lot of pain in my upper back. My legs keep going numb too, it is my best guess that a nerve may be pinched, or something along those lines. I currently don't trust any of my pains to be precursors, I am having so many different sensations going on I don't know what is pain from being hit and what is a precursor.

Have your doc send you to a good neurosurgeon or an orthopedic surgeon to have them look the films over because I have had bad reports from radiologist many times and regular doctors know less of what they are looking at. If your legs are going numb it could be very bad. More than likely a disk or a muscle in your back around the S1 Vertebrae is out of whack hitting a nerve. You could have had a problem before that you did not know about and this accident just made it rear its ugly head. Make sure you do tons of research on the back doctor before you trust what he says. I don't want you to go through what I did.

Sounds like Sciatica Nerve. My leg would go dead on me literally a pain in the ass.

I couldn't even stand straight and pain med.'s did nothing. I went to a Chiropractic Dr. 5X's a week for 18 months before I could stand straight and the pain started to subside somewhat. I will say that Dr. was good and saved me from a life of misery/pain and operations.

Do not let this women get away with this because you will probably need this to be paid for and she should be the one paying.

I hope you don't have to go through this please use you back as least as possible right now ad let it rest you don't want more damage done.

I received zero earthquake emails from USGS overnight-- and my parameters are set for +3.0. Did anyone else get any?

As far as precursors, I'm still getting SoCal into Mexico, although it could also be Japan if it's +6.0, Charlotte says. All these areas have similar precursors, including Hawaii and Alaska. So you can imagine how difficult it is, with Alaska in there, since they shake all the time. Getting some Central/South America and offshore California/Oregon. Nothing very specific yet. I'll try to narrow it down today.

Just a note: I don't know if anyone has noticed that the mods have moved the thread into the Big Thread forum now. There's a statement at the top of the thread about off-topic posts and long quotes being deleted, etc.

SpaceCadet: your aches and pains may still be sensitive to seismic activity. Charlotte says any old injuries or weaknesses in your body will react more intensely to seismic activity, so you will pick up those regions even better. You might want to continue keeping track of your precursors to see if this pans out for you. I hope you feel better.

Hello all

Have you noticed the 5.0 and up activity going on? That is just nuts, we have been closely watching the activity for a while now, and I don't remember seeing so many earthquakes of essentially the same mag at the same time, and that goes against what I have read about a larger quake setting off smaller ones.

Also there was a volcanic eruption in Alaska, news.yahoo.com...

Not rare, but odd that there were not really any signs that it was about to blow, just a few tremors just before it went off.

off topic: I have located the driver and her insurance gave me a claim number, but they blew my mind when I first called and they told me that ' goodness she doesn't even know this has happened to her', I am thinking, lady, she KNOWS ALL ABOUT THIS HAPPENING!!!!! She just thinks she got away with it!

The police report does clearly list the incidnet as hit and run, naming her as the driver, but they have not even questioned her as of yet. I am told that GA law requires her car be impounded, and her license immediately suspended, I asked why this has not taken place and was told by the city clerk that it is still 'under investigation'.

Space Cadat I hope everything works out well for you keep us posted.

Kattraxx I just noticed another member MSSMARTYPANTS has your same Avatar, I thought I was writing to you at first then I was lucky and caught it.

Okay so we have a volcanic eruption in Alaska and one ongoing in Hawaii we need to watch for the next one is there any good ones near/around Beijing, China?

Wow I'm glad that family was able to be rescued in time by a private vessel skippered by a great captain no doubt. Ash in Dutch Harbor, That don't sound good for the fishing fleet and people who live there.

They had a 6.1 off the coast of Taiwan today I see. There has to be a direct relation to seismic activity in Alaska and Asia. When one pops the other is right behind it.

I am glad that they caught that woman who hit you, I hope she has good insurance. Make sure you go to your doctors and not ones that solicit you or ones that a lawyer tells you to go to. You have the right to pick what ever doctor you want to go to. If it is a car insurance accident beware though because the doctors will charge you more money than they charge your regular health insurance because they are not bound by the health insurance guidelines of Reasonable and customary charges.

Tell your doctor not to gouge you because you know better, Tell them that you will only pay them that same amount that they would normally charge your health insurance. Never ever go to a Chiropractor unless a regular orthopedic doctor orders it because they can hurt you because most of them don't even take X-rays before they go adjusting what they guess needs to be moved and in the mean time something could be broke or ruptured.

I noticed the 6.1 in Taiwan also.

A new area I haven't seen before.....a 4.4 Owen Fracture Zone

Looks to me as Nevada is having less activity but deeper and Cal. is still doing a lot of small shaking.

When I look at the IRIS map it always gets me that it is always covered by quakes but when it hits Canada and the USA it seems to stop then pick up in Mexico don't any of you think this strange.

Why would Cal. as much as it shakes all be mostly under 4's especially with the San Andreas Fault. I wonder if things are being kept from we the people, what are your thoughts on this?

To me the Ring of Fire is not quite complete.

A new area:

4.3 Northwest Territories, Canada.....Never viewed one in this location before.

Also reading Great White .....Martha's Vinyard
Lion on the loose..... Colorado....Problems in the Great Barrier Reef

as I see it animals on move and all I can think is underwater volcanoes heating the waters and land masses in areas.

Thanks, Observe, that is strange, the U.S. "gap" in the ring of fire.

I know some put stock into reading ants' behavior, but I haven't found them to reliable predictors of seismic activity at all. Twice I've seen them swarming in my back yard, the latest being two days ago, but nothing has happened. Not to mention them coming into my house for about ten days, then disappearing.

I'm watching NorCal and/or the SF bay area a bit. Nothing too intense. Damntheptb, are you getting any ear tones for these areas?

What's interesting about the 4.2 it is the Washington-Oregon Border Region and it's on land not in the water.
