Hi Shirakawa,
no offence taken by me at least
I can only comment that I've been tested by an audiologist on a few occasions in recent years and nothing amiss
was found beyond what is normal for my age at the time. (Some level of tinnitus is quite common as we age.) I appreciate that testing will not always find "subjective tinnitus", and I'm also aware that tinnitus can have a multitude of causes -- and this latter aspect is part of the matter here. It's possible that what various members report could be caused by an external source; it's also possible that some members have hearing sensitivity outside of the "normal" range and are picking up seismic effects. We know, for example, that when Charlotte King was tested in laboratories she was able to hear below the normal range.
In short, while it might be classified as tinnitus in some cases, that still doesn't deny that its effects are caused by external forces, but these forces are simply not generally recognized by the medical profession.
Regards,
Mike
