First of all its Fox News...........
Secondly, why wouldn't they? If God created the Universe then he created the aliens as well. I think they are just trying to reach more people
(believers in aliens etc) to their dogma.

Does the Vatican's chief astronomer have the power to make such decisions regarding the Catholic faith and the Vatican's stance on life beyond
Earth?
It seems to me he was merely stating his personal opinion, not making a press release.
I wonder if he believes that God IS an extraterrestrial, because technically he would be. As in, not from this Earth. To me, this would
not alter religious beliefs either, just viewing them from a different perspective.

Nice to see that it's okay for catholics to believe in Aliens, but is this really necessary to say to Catholics? I mean did the vatacin have to tell
them it's okay to believe in aliens? Does the vatican have to tell catholics it's okay to walk?
All in all it's good to see that they are saying it's okay to believe in, but I feel people should make the choice mainly on their own.

It's interesting that FOX News posted the Vatican's view of ET's this
morning and tonight they've posted an article about newly declassified
UFO cases from the United Kingdom:
www.foxnews.com...
Maybe FOX has been solicited by those with UFO knowlege to slowly
condition us for a REAL E.T. disclosure at some point? They can't be
running these stories due to a lack of news headlines. There's no
shortage of conventional stories this week. hmmm... -cwm

Yeah and something else to add to the strangeness is Britain releasing new UFO files. Some 1000 pages of it.

If Catholics believe there are aliens, do they believe God created these aliens too?
And if these aliens ever did contact us, and said they didn't believe they were created by God but had some other belief, would Catholics say the
aliens were wrong?

The Vatican has been aware of the Alien presence for YEARS and has been concealing it along with the government. Do your homework people. This is
nothing new. It's obviously a step towards, I wouldn't say disclosure because the people in the know will never admit they kept this secret for so
many years, but it's a step to "get the idea out into the populations." I feel we're slowly being prepped for their public appearance. It's
gonna happen in our lifetime and I believe a lot sooner than most of you think. A LOT sooner.

Savior, you are not skeptic, you are a debunker...you will try anything in your power to defend your mindset we are A) Alone or B) not being visited
or C) the only inteligent alien species.
I am a true skeptic, I don't believe in every UFO story out there but I do have an open mind and i'm open to anything.

I don't mean to sound offensive, but if this is a certified "official" opinion that Catholics around the world should share as a part of their
faith according to those that dictate the direction of the Catholic religion, then this is one of the first things that Catholicism has done correctly
in quite some time. Please don't make me bring up any examples.

Maybe because no one bothered to post it before or maybe they never viewed the issue as something to have an official position on?
