I see a lot of people posting on here about being conservative, liberal, progressive, Republican. Democrat, Libertarian... and I wonder what that all
really means. I know, I know, conservative is some mean old man guarding the money, a liberal is someone who wants to spread flowers and happiness...
but really, where do you come down on what issues?
For instance, I am usually labeled a conservative. I am against abortion and believe it is nothing short of murder. I advocate the death penalty for
hardened criminals, even to the point of wanting 'Old Sparky' brought back and the executions shown on PPV. I think Reagan was a great President,
and Carter was a total flop. On the other hand, I think Bush has made a total mess of things as well, and Clinton didn't do too bad a job.
When it comes to the Iraq War, I think we started out right, and then got into a mess. I don't want to just quit, I want us to win! But I also don't
think we are presently doing any real good over there, so if we can't win, maybe a measured retreat would be the best solution.
On health care, that's pretty big, but I don't want some egghead doctor having control over what I decide to do in my life. I posted a better

On who to vote for this year, I'm thinking about writing in my dog's name. I think he'd do a better job then the three we have to choose from.
Maybe we could get a betrter outcome if we actually had paper ballots everywhere again?
Big government should be shrunk quite a bit. I'd like to see the EPA down to the size of a local DMV, the IRS abolished, defense spending watched
closely (trim a lot of fat off that pig, just leave the muscle), and the War on Drugs stopped dead in its tracks. Homeland Security sounded good, but
it's turned out to be too Gestapo-ish. And the Patriot Act should be burned.
I want to see restrictions once again placed on monopolies, the only major drawback to a capitalist society. OK, one more drawback, let's have some
regs on commodity trading on food and fuel. Government could do some good there.
I want to mail a letter for 25 cents again!
I want the Mexican border closed tight, with a double-layer electrified fence. And I want the CEOs, managers, etc of any company that employs illegals
knowingly to be
jailed, not just fined. I want no social services for illegals, and I think the 'anchor-baby' thing is a perversion of the
intent of our Constitution.
Y'all get the idea? I know it's a broad topic, but where do you come down on what?
