This is not a pro Clinton post. This is about showing how he was impeached for something so simple, yet compare this to what Bush has done. All presidents are involved in dirt. How else do they become president? Bush led us to war under a false pretense. Clinton did not though. Bush should be impeached or put on trial. Now the american people will have to suffer through hard times because of the money spent in iraq. Look at the possiblity of raising social security to age 70! I'll pay my whole life and be dead before I can collect what kind of crap is that.

I don't know where you live, but here in the DC area (Virginia) we are living it up. There is great money and options to be had here.

As to other areas, there will always be places where times are hard. Times are hard, even in prosperity.

well lets think about this for a minute.

more people than ever before are on social security and more are using it all the time. that means more and more money is being paid out. this doesnt mean it all goes to the eldery, no sir! it goes to alcoholics, drug addicts disabled people AND goes to those who scam the government out of a check under whatever problem they are claiming.

another factor is people ARE living longer, they are having more years of better living wqhich means more years of productive living (as in the ability to hold a job).

take these two factors put them together and the problem compounds. so whats the answer? take MORE money from you? you'll bitch whine moan and groan over that (rightly so, i would too) or they'll find ways to ease the financial burden on you by doing unpopular things like raising the minimum age for retirees.

damned if they do, damnded if they dont.

this also doesnt take into account the severe amount of ineptness that is the government. it wastes so much money through being ineffecient thats its not funny, its staggering how much they waste for no reason and they waste a lot of it in SS on things that dont benefit SS recepients, thats another reason why.

think again. compared to the stories my grandfather has told me...we are living like royalty.

we really have no idea what hard times truly are.

10% unemployment is a problem? not compared to almost half the country being out of work!

as much as we like to whine about the problems we have always remember things can ALWAYS get worse and things have been worse in the past.

you having a computer and internet access alone tells me YOU arent living in hard times. these are extravagances you dont need and as long as one can afford things they want but dont need you are not living on hard times. this is not to say thigns arent as good as they were a few years ago but this happens, up and down, ebb and flow. things also get better eventually, try to focus on that.

Why is it a continuous attack of disjointed ideas, half-truths and insinuations? And why do people continue to create new threads on the same old worn out empty crap?

There was more than enough reason to attack Hussein, and enough reason to believe there was a nonconventional threat. I also notice you are wanting Bush's blood, but you do not demand the blood of the Dems who had the same info Bush did, and also voted for action.

Defiant dicator is so ridiculus it makes me want to puke. There are people in power that put Hussein to shame in their deeds. The U.S. as you know were best buds with him during the oil embargo ot the 70's because he continued to still sell us oil when no one else did. We provided his weapons of mass destruction to beat back Iran and he attacked Kuwait because Kuwait was cross drilling into his country and stealing oil and he warned them against it. Sure he was evil and did bad things but does that justify killing of 27,000 people and the maiming of 72,000? As shown here on this board there is much differnce of opinion on just about every topic known to man and many here would probably come to blows if they met face to face and had discussions. Same thing with the way people run countrys. Our national debt and our people need to be taken care of first then lets worry about the world.
As for Al Qeada I belive in them about as much as the boogy man. This is just a generic word made up to put a face on an invisible enemy that is working as individuals against the u.s. If you belive in some super connected terror network you gotta be nuts they would be caught in an instant by our ever spying government and they aren't. We are at the mercy of the media and the media is at the mercy of the government to throw them scraps of information. Never mind if it has a little poison added in.

On the issue of taxes and social security. Cutting taxes and then spending billions is the same as telling your boss that you will start working for minimum wage only and then go buy a 50 million dollar masion in Hawaii. It makes no damn sense. If you want, go ahead and don't raise taxes just stop spending billions in other countries. Work over our budget and it would be fine and we could live without raising taxes.

On it being hypocritical slamming bush when democrats voted for the war also. Do you seriously belive that the senate and the house had the same information as bush did. All the intelligence communitys report to bush and bush puts the information out to them through his people. I seriously doubt anyone but him and a close few new all the details because even the different intelligence people don't share information readily.

Well your partly right. I feel Clinton was set up to get impeached and always will. Like you said the rich and conservitive didn't like him and wanted him out and didn't like him. As for Kennedy anyways, we could go on about that forever. Sure he got away with alot be he ended up with half his head blown off at end of things. So apperantly someone didn't like him too well either.

Why would I revive a 6 year old post out of whim when I have not been here in years? After 6 years of seeing our country fall apart, our rights slowly being filtered away, and seeing the increase in government monitoring of our citizens via the Homeland Security Department for ignorant reasons, I thought I would say I told you so.
