It is rather obvious this is a conversation intended for those that believe in the concept of a soul.

I am defining the 'soul' here not in a religious sense, but more in the sense of being able to experience spiritual feelings, which is what I took the thread to be asking. As for the differences between hard and soft AI, while I haven't heard the terms used in quite that way before, you make a lot of sense.

I am very impressed with your initial post in this thread. Apparently I am not the only one here who has interest in AI.

I'm gonna say it's possible, if the AI is complex enough (high tech), and live long age perhaps.
In fact if God is used to be an AI, I'm not surprised at all. Although I'm not talking about biblical god.
