I am not an "Obama apologist". I am not even voting for Obama (which I have said 3 times now), so your "blinders and all" comment is just premature and rather immature. I am just being objective.

And by being objective, it is clear he was joking. You saying he is using "America as the butt of a joke" is just absurd. You need to lighten up man. It was humor. Try and laugh (even though it wasn't funny).

BTW, go search YouTube for the video of Bush making a mockery of America (yeah, making a joke OUT OF America) at the Girdiron "elitist" night a few months ago, singing and dancing including the lyrics of "here comes Cheney with the papers he's been withholding"....now that makes me sick. Did that make the news, no! This "57" states comment did, more proof of totally selective and taken out of context crap coming from the neo-con right-wing controlled main stream media! You say YoBama made a joke, well if he did, I don't think it started off that way. He did a quick two step and brought up his staff to deter attention away from himself.
I don't understand all the favoritism towards this guy, he is like a spoiled, over protected, little rich kid, goody two shoes brat that always gets bailed out at the earliest sign of trouble.

However, 57 Muslim states is an interesting juxtaposition. Perhaps his joke had a double meaning. That would make it much more funny... if he was also playing on the people that are trying to turn him into a Muslim, when he is not.
