Obama stated in "every corner of the US", which means one continental land mass. This exclude Puerto Rico and others.
You'd be reaching anyway to excuse for Obama like that.
There is no excuse. It is shameful. You should know the number of states in your sleep. It should be second-nature.
Stop reaching. It was just Obama's anti-American character coming out.

Gee, I am less worried about Obama not knowing how many states there are in the USA than about how he wants to invade Pakistan if they don't adhere
to his desires as to how much effort they are making to combat Al-Qaida. Hell, even George Bush was elected after not knowing the names of the leaders
of some obscure African countires. But he did learn them and repeated them soon after. I hope that Obama will now recite the names of the 50 states.
Ah, hell. It doesn't really matter does it? We will all just have to learn a few names of regions of the NAU soon anyways.
edited for spelling errors. did i get them all? No edit required for my rantings as I am not in control of them.

so the word fifty came out instead of forty. I've made similar mistakes. The big deal is what exactly?

Hmmmm, well yeah, I am sure campaigning is very tiresome, I even gave the guy some credit for being tired.
So in your opinion, is campaigning more tiresome than being President, of these 57 states? LOL!
You gotta be kidding me!
If he becomes President, and if he messes up, will being tired fly as an excuse?
This little mistake is pretty darn scary, in my opinion! As well as being humorous!

He knows how many states there are. It was a slip-up. Have you ever had a slip-up? I have, it doesn't mean you don't know or forget anything.
You my friend, are the one reaching here...BIG time.

Yes, I think it is scary. Now, while campaigning, it is very important not to slip up on something so fundemental a 2nd grader should know it.
If he is slipping up on something like this, I find it scary to think what sort of slip up should happen while the guy is in office.
Yes, I am positive after this slip up that the guy isn't getting my vote!

Are you trying to convince me that you would've voted for him BEFORE he made this monstrous, career-ending slip of the tongue?
I don't think I've ever heard anything as ridiculous and just plain stupid as 'he made a slip of the tongue, so that means he's going to make a
huge slip-up in office'. Use some logic.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. If you are willing to accept a guy for President that has no idea how many states there are, then there really
is no hope for this country!

Or...as Dr. Love said, maybe he knows something we don't! Oh... I hope one of them is Tibet!!

Simple slips of the tongue happen all the time, this i am painfully aware of, and i didnt say he wouldnt destroy this country (hopefully he wont) but
that doesn't mean every other candidate wont do even worse than he will.

Logic would stand to reason, that you are not Obama, therefore you don't know for sure it was just a slip of the tongue.
I think it's pretty ridiculous and stupid for you to assume so.

quite a while to become the president.

Yes, but you are not running for President of the United States.
I don't think you have to worry about him destroying the United States, since he won't win the election!

Really?
It's stupid for me to assume that a Harvard educated man knows how many states there are?
What a sad world we live in when we are critiqued so.
And now, apparently it's gone from a slip up to 'he has no idea'.
Use your head.

The guy is only human, but he is running for President, and should not be making such a slip up. Either that, or he really has no clue how many
states there are.
Don't you expect people who should be running the government to be above this type of slip up?
It makes me wonder if you would find it ok if a Dr. gave orders to give a loved one to get 20cc's of medication when they meant to say 2cc's?
Oooops, sorry, your loved one is now dead due to the slip of the tongue!

I guess it would depend on what he majored in at Harvard. Quite possibly his studies had nothing to do with geography. Use your head! Maybe he
never thought he would need that information!
